Orbital Charting
The core job of the company, to chart systems and record anything of scientific value
Access Level: Internal Only

Required Role(s):
  • Compact Exploration Vessel

.
Step by step:
  1. Wait for a charting contract or choose a system to gain information on.
  2. Make your way to the system in your CEV.
  3. Start flying through every sector of the system outside of trade lane routes.
    • // Look up and down to find stuff, every system is different.
  4. Once a point of interest has been located, you must capture a visual of it.
    • // Screenshot via Cockpit view with HUD disabled
  5. Record the name & location of the point of interest.
  6. Note a small comment about the point of interest.
  7. Continue flying through the system, sector by sector.
  8. Repeat Steps 4-7 until the system has been fully charted.
  9. Upload the report to the Orbital Charts Server [Image: i5bCgiN.png].
  10. Record a job invoice in the Issued Invoices Server [Image: i5bCgiN.png].
  11. Send invoice to the client.
  12. Once the invoice is paid, you can give them view-only access to the report.

Expedition Reporting
The follow-up job to Charting, researching a previously discovered stellar object
Access Level: Internal Only

  • Multi-Purpose Research Vessel (Expedition Wing)

Step by step:
  1. Browse our Orbital Charting Reports and select a point of interest to study.
  2. Fly one of our Expedition Wing MRVs to the point of interest.
  3. Capture a visual of the research subject from an external camera.
    • // Screenshot via turret view with HUD disabled.
  4. Begin recording your findings whilst researching the point of interest.
    • // Base your report off of the solar's infocard.
  5. Safely return to the closest station.
  6. Upload the report to the Expedition Reports Server [Image: i5bCgiN.png].
  7. Record a job invoice in the Issued Invoices Server [Image: i5bCgiN.png].
  8. Send invoice to the client.
  9. Once the invoice is paid, you can give them view-only access to the report.

Anomaly Stripping
An assignment where we obtain scientific information from the rare Anomaly Site in Tau-23
Access Level: Internal Only

Step by Step:
  1. Undock an Anomaly Wing MRV from Research Liner Sol.
    • // Bring additional players in Anomaly Wing MRVs to make this more efficient
  2. Wait until an Anomaly spawn appears.
  3. Strip the exterior shell of the Anomaly using the Starfliers Active Scanner.
  4. Once the core is unprotected, keep firing anomaly pulses to ignite the anomaly's core.
  5. Tractor in the 5 Petabytes of Research Data.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 until you are full of Research Data.
  7. Drop off the Research Data to the Research Liner Sol.
  8. Repeat assignment until content with quantity acquisition.

Slipspace Beacon
A secondary service provided to those who operate Jump Drives

Step by step:
  1. Make sure both the client and our ships have 1,000 Jump Drive Batteries
  2. The client pings our Slipspace Beacon to verify the connection
    • // Use the command: /canbeacon '\S/'shipname
  3. Once verified, the Client requests a Jump handshake with our Slipspace Beacon
    • // Use the command: /jumpbeacon '\S/'shipname
  4. You accept the Jump Beacon handshake request
    • // Use the command: /acceptbeacon Client ship's name
  5. The Client's Jump Drive and our Slipspace Beacon begin the jump process
  6. Client's Jump Drive uses up to 1,000 Jump Drive Batteries (based on up to 5 systems travelled)
  7. Our ship's Slipspace Beacon uses 250 Jump Drive Batteries
  8. Two jump holes are generated, connecting our positions via wormhole
  9. The Client has only a few seconds to jump before the jump hole collapses

Step by step:
  1. Link up with the First Ring of the racing track
    • // Select the starting ring
  2. Enable racing mode in the ORV's ship console
    • // Use the command: /race solo 1...1
  3. Finish the one-lap race without being disqualified
  4. Refer to your logs for the raw timing record
  5. See if you beat first place in the Space Racing Server [Image: i5bCgiN.png]
  6. Post your time if you did beat first place, for bragging rights.
  7. If you didn't, try again!
