How is this kind of RP allowed?

The RP point, imho, is that any char unless some really high in the chain of command, might not have access to all of the following information. Even iRL leaks that do happen do not include this comprehensive database as leaked because people working in the agencies are not that stupid to give access to the whole Padora's chest to a lowly officer. But on disco every officer of any navy/intel somehow has unhindered access to literally any navy/intel (and by extension governmental, somehow) project and is a d'Artanian that is omniscient and impunitive at the same time. Mind, that in iRL intel agencies there are always agents who do counterintelligence and prevent this from happening via various methods, ranging from imprisonment & stripping the ranks to a sudden and unfortunate defenestration. Luckily or unluckily, ppl on disco quite often ignore the common logic of internal control of the organisations, hence so many defecting battleships (imaging a real US carrier captain trying to defect to, say, China, and how his crew would react), and leaks.
