How is this kind of RP allowed?

The notion of a sector-wide broadcast is patently ridiculous anyway. Real life radio broadcasts cover thousands of square miles, and yet, you have to be tuned in to hear them. New blogs and news articles hit the internet every second, but you won't find them unless you actively go searching for them, or you've subscribed to a feed. Even then, that feed won't have everything.

Similarly, you have to be logged into the forum and looking for broadcast comms threads to find stuff like this. It's not really Sirius-wide; it's just whoever cares to read it, which is, incidentally, hardly anybody at all. This is an unhinged college radio DJ screaming into the void, not some Emergency Broadcast System message that overrides normal public programming.

This is probably the most reasonable post in this thread so far.

Discovery has major issues with scaling; the world has a population in the dozens of billions, but the actual number of players in the game and on the forums is in the low three digits. So everyone is aware of everything, any person with a little bit of free time can keep up with the sum total of all information that is created in the universe.

In my personal opinion, the post that is being complained about does kind of slide into powergaming territory. But if nothing ends up being done about it, it's best to treat it as described above: A crazy conspiracy rant on a website with black background and broken links, because that is in all likelihood what it would be treated as inrp.
