It was a running monologue conveyed with a subdued tone but with no less fiery conviction that she must have started to expect from him by now.

He truly, and fundamentally refused to see anything that his partner had just outlined as being worth merit. And his reasons for why were certainly quite exhaustive, culture was by all means an aggregation of experiences made manifest by people and preserved through repetition. And the experiences between the two groups in question could not have possibly been any more different than that already were.
