Insurgency Warship Captured!
Sabah Shipyard: It was announced earlier today that a firefight near the Cortez Gate Construction Site was, in fact, a clash between forces of the Crayter Military and remnants of the Liberty Insurgency, as rumored by numerous Integral Systems trade vessels that passed near the action the day before. Though the Ministry of Defense has said little about the fight itself, the outcome can be seen plain as day by anyone flying near the Military's production yard at Sabah, as the outline of an Outcast Dreadnought clashes with the traditionally sleek profiles of Crayter's native war vessels.
Not long after the announcement, numerous prison freighters were seen departing Sabah towards Yuma proper, and Shipyard command has since confirmed the drydocked vessel in question to be the Insurgency Dreadnought Ven'Gyr, a considerable heavyweight among the Insurgency's arsenal, and routinely considered the ship primarily responsible for putting an end to the ill fated Commonwealth of Liberty. Though sources aboard Sabah have claimed that the warship was not the only Insurgency vessel captured as a result of the battle, the Ministry of Defense has yet to make any further statements regarding the incident.
However, when asked what Crayter's intention with the ship was by placing it in Sabah's service yard, Minister of Defense Trevor Westbrook made it clear, saying 'Letting a hulk like that sit there would just be irresponsible, and Crayter's dedicated engineers, who have worked on ships like these before, are more than capable of bring it back to service. It'll do far more good in our hands than the Insurgency's, anyway'. The Ministry of Defense has not made any further comment on the vessel's status or that of its crew, and it remains to be seen how the Ministry's plans will impact the Military's spending quota for the quarter. We will keep you up to date as this story develops.
