Sean. The thought of him brings a pang of longing to my heart. It was difficult enough bidding him farewell when we left to return to the Sirius Sector. But knowing he's on his own, trapped in a system isolated by the Pulse, is a heart-wrenching torment. I promised him I'd return, promised him we'd be together again. I had hoped that joining the expedition to re-establish contact with the Colony would bring me closer to Sean. But instead, I've found myself drawn to the enigma of the Pulse. I'm determined to understand its origins, to unravel its secrets, to find a way to neutralize its effects and restore the damaged hyperspace field. It's not just about science; it's about finding a way back to Sean.

I've been poring over data, studying energy signatures, and consulting with the expedition's scientists. Every night, I lock myself in my quarters, immersed in the world of theories and equations, searching for a clue, a pattern that could lead me to an answer.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm chasing a ghost, grasping at shadows. The Pulse is as elusive as it is powerful, its nature shrouded in mystery. But I won't give up. I can't give up. Sean is out there, waiting for me, and I'll move heaven and earth to find my way back to him.

The silence returns, broken only by the occasional creak of the ship. I close my eyes, trying to imagine Sean's face, his gentle smile, his warm embrace. I hold onto that image, drawing strength from it, fueling my determination.

I won't rest until I'm back in his arms.
