Vega Log Mk 1,7, captain James Anderson of the Vega to the report. We are resuming reports per return from the Great Journey of our corefleet. Although the Phoenix has settled back in the Sirius sector several years back, we have been crippled by the Nomad forces, which our corefleet encountered and Vega received most of the damage. So we had to put things together on our own, deep inside the outskirts of the Sirius sector.

Our team is prepared in depth of analysis of ship subsystems as we have emerged into Omicron Zeta. With establishing a jump sequence into Omicron Zeta we have reached out the maximum output of the damaged reactor and it went all unstable. Although the inner circuit wasn’t damaged and we were kept relatively safe, the outer one, reactor hull integrity was damaged poorly.

Luckily enough we managed to get aid from the side. The ALG Waste Disposal, had shown their interest in aid to stabilise the situation on the vessel, tow it, per given permission from Order Primary Fleet into Carthage Shipyards.

While we were in orbit of Palmyra, right behind Kadesh's backyard ALG representatives came. We were given access to the interior Vega system, so together we quickly ran into diagnostics with their specialists. The tests had shown that the reactor is in poor shape and needs to be shut down, well, that was expected.

On the minimal power plant output Vega was moored with the Kadesh, the reactor was shut down, the pool was half dried, the pressure was reduced to minimal - slowly reactor began to drop the temperatures. Meanwhile life support systems were kept active by the Kadesh powergrid.

As the situation was stabilized and we were prepared for the transportation, the lifter emerged to the Vega site and together with his crew we connected the lifter by the cords. Towing process was tedious, but also a nervous moment. Ship was defenceless, the reminded crew was in the spacesuits as we had all apparatus disabled. Furthermore, we had contact with a Nomad battleship-class entity on the scanners before getting our of Kadesh Orbital City defensive perimeter.

[12.11.2023 10:43:57] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I'm quite sure it will, my friend.
[12.11.2023 10:44:08] ALG-R&D-3: We'll do what we can. Well, the Cirrus team anyway. I'm just here for security.
[12.11.2023 10:44:37] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Ahh, there we are... quite the specimen.
[12.11.2023 10:44:44] (\^/)Phaenon: As old as they come
[12.11.2023 10:44:49] ALG-R&D-3: Oh, shi- I mean. Oh, goodness.
[12.11.2023 10:44:57] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: [Giraud chuckles.]
[12.11.2023 10:45:10] (\^/)Vega: James: ALG vessels, finally!
[12.11.2023 10:45:19] ALG-R&D-3: You weren't kidding, this thing really is ancient, hum?
[12.11.2023 10:45:19] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Right. Before we get started, shall we all introduce ourselves? Ease of communication and all.
[12.11.2023 10:45:30] (\^/)Vega: James: You're about right time, the reactor seems to be in critical shape.
[12.11.2023 10:45:46] ALG-R&D-3: Kimberley Fenton. R&D spec ops weapons testing.
[12.11.2023 10:45:54] (\^/)Vega: James: Indeed, this ship is like... 200 years old?
[12.11.2023 10:46:04] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Simon Giraud, Director of R&D.
[12.11.2023 10:46:39] (\^/)Phaenon: Jerard Voncloud. Pygar Administrator
[12.11.2023 10:46:43] (\^/)Vega: James: Nice to meet you, my name is James Anderson, captain on this cra... Vessel.
[12.11.2023 10:46:49] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Or, rather, the spacecraft engineering department of such.
[12.11.2023 10:47:00] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: The pleasure is mine. Now, let's take a look at this reactor.
[12.11.2023 10:47:02] ALG-R&D-3: Okay, so first things first. How close is that reactor to catastrophic meltdown?
[12.11.2023 10:47:22] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Yes, any readings you have to inform our initial assessment would be most helpful.
[12.11.2023 10:47:49] (\^/)Vega: James: The problem is the reactor wasn't really fully reviewed after its destend from Rheinland shipyard.
[12.11.2023 10:48:37] (\^/)Vega: James: GMG nor we are serviced it, as we were quite satisfied before the engine / reactor was hit by the aliens.
[12.11.2023 10:48:46] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Hmm. So, remind me, just how long has this vessel been in open space? Essentially since the 80 Years War?
[12.11.2023 10:48:58] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Other then Essential systems everything else is running on low power or just disabled
[12.11.2023 10:49:16] ALG-R&D-3: There's no way to tow this thing to Wichter, is there? It'd make things a lot easier, but that is a serious journey.
[12.11.2023 10:49:46] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: I dont think we could even jump it..im not sure it could handle the structural stress
[12.11.2023 10:49:50] (\^/)Vega: James: I cannot tell you from perspective of GMG, but I think it was operational about 50 years as GMG asset before it was lost
[12.11.2023 10:50:01] (\^/)Vega: in deep Omicrons region.
[12.11.2023 10:50:14] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Alright, so we've got about a century and a half's worth of decay on our hands.
[12.11.2023 10:50:55] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: For a 600s-era battleship, that's... hmm. [Giraud pulls up a datapad, doing some quick concept sketches.]
[12.11.2023 10:51:01] (\^/)Vega: James: as we managed to put this thing together - i think its operational under Phoenix banner for 10 years.
[12.11.2023 10:51:03] ALG-R&D-3: How's life support? I mean, the bridge obviously has it. What about the rest of the ship?
[12.11.2023 10:51:52] (\^/)Vega: James; Your data should be accurate to the power system, it wasn't changed greatly.
[12.11.2023 10:52:15] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Life support is accross the ship, but not without fluctuations
[12.11.2023 10:52:40] ALG-R&D-3: So, is it the sort of situation where you erm...."don't open this door or we'll all be vented"?
[12.11.2023 10:52:41] (\^/)Vega: James: Although several decks are sealed after recent meeting with the Nomads.
[12.11.2023 10:52:51] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Exactly
[12.11.2023 10:52:57] (\^/)Vega: James: Indeed.
[12.11.2023 10:53:11] ALG-R&D-3: Hum, hum. I'm certainly glad I don't have to board it. Sorry, Cirrus team.
[12.11.2023 10:53:31] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Oh, no bother at all, Ms. Fenton.
[12.11.2023 10:53:54] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Alright, so given the state of the reactor and life support, let me propose a plan of action, and you can provide feedback
[12.11.2023 10:54:01] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: on your thoughts, yes?
[12.11.2023 10:54:02] (\^/)Vega: James: The most problem is with the turbines(pumps)m they are damn outdated and needs to be replaced.
[12.11.2023 10:54:53] (\^/)Vega: James: And as for now our industries don't have such parts, need to mention also the heart of the reactor - the rods. About 74%
[12.11.2023 10:55:00] (\^/)Vega: need to be replaced too.
[12.11.2023 10:55:03] ALG-R&D-3: By the way, we had a Core contact earlier. Might be an issue, I don't know.
[12.11.2023 10:55:15] ALG-R&D-3: I guess it's better than Nomads. Marginally.
[12.11.2023 10:55:22] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: My preferred method of attack here would be for your personnel onboard the Vega to wear hardsuits, with all those who don't
[12.11.2023 10:55:28] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: have suits available retiring to Kadesh Orbital City.
[12.11.2023 10:55:45] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Those remaining aboard would then shut down the reactor and life support systems, at least as best they're able.
[12.11.2023 10:56:12] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Cirrus team would then attempt to dislodge the reactor completely and relocate it a safe distance from the ship.
[12.11.2023 10:56:36] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: At this point, essential internal repairs can begin, and an entirely new reactor can be... produced or otherwise sourced.
[12.11.2023 10:56:38] (\^/)Vega: James: Yeah, please. The plan was to moor the Vega with the Kadesh and shut down the reactor - leave life support -
[12.11.2023 10:56:46] (\^/)Vega: on station balance.
[12.11.2023 10:56:47] ALG-R&D-3: Uh....are you sure that's a- well, you know better.
[12.11.2023 10:57:22] ALG-R&D-3: No backups though I'm guessing. Just all electricals cut.
[12.11.2023 10:57:28] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Oh, do share your thoughts, Ms. Fenton. A fresh pair of eyes can often be quite useful, us engineers frequently get stuck
[12.11.2023 10:57:32] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: in our own ways of doing things.
[12.11.2023 10:57:34] ALG-R&D-3: Sure, I mean....not any different from a space walk. In theory.
[12.11.2023 10:57:53] (\^/)Vega: James: That sounds very promising. Would you like to inspect the reactor shutdown processes?
[12.11.2023 10:58:09] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: What would be done if the Reactor cannot be removed?
[12.11.2023 10:58:15] (\^/)Vega: James: We never did that before, only maanged to power it up years ago.
[12.11.2023 10:58:19] ALG-R&D-3: Well, if any of the crew life support fails, the suits....and there's no backups on the ship itself. Uh.
[12.11.2023 10:58:27] ALG-R&D-3: Might take a really long time to get them out of there.
[12.11.2023 10:58:43] ALG-R&D-3: So we're really going to have to trust in those suits. Guess we have to do that anyway.
[12.11.2023 10:59:01] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: GS: Indeed. The entire point of a hardsuit is that you can comfortably entrust your life to it, no?
[12.11.2023 10:59:09] (\^/)Vega: James: If reactor cannot be removed as radical change - we can cut the section and put something new.
[12.11.2023 10:59:13] ALG-R&D-3: Again, I'm a weapons tester. Please disregard all of my opinions.
[12.11.2023 10:59:55] (\^/)Vega: James: You shouldn't worried - the ship is not going to the pieces. *laughs*
[12.11.2023 10:59:56] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: [bemusedly] Thank you for your input regardless. Anyway, James, if we have some difficulty in removing the reactor, well...
[12.11.2023 11:00:34] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: At that point I'd advise inserting the control rods, what few of them remain, and attempting to forcibly cease the reactor'
[12.11.2023 11:00:36] (\^/)Vega: James: The plan is stabilize its output and tow ship to the Carthage.
[12.11.2023 11:00:37] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: reactor's operation.
[12.11.2023 11:00:50] ALG-R&D-3: I admit, I have a perverse curiosity in seeing that giant thing just...turn off.
[12.11.2023 11:01:02] (\^/)Vega: James: We just dont have such tools to change reactor right here.
[12.11.2023 11:01:22] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Of course. We have basic construction, deconstruction, and measurement devices aboard the Cirrus, but nothing
[12.11.2023 11:01:32] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: like what would be required to completely perform an operation of that magnitude.
[12.11.2023 11:01:54] (\^/)Vega: James: So that's was original plan of Christian, with your aid stabilize situation onboard of Vega and together with Order tow-
[12.11.2023 11:02:05] (\^/)Vega: it in direction of more... Controlled and safe area.
[12.11.2023 11:02:07] ALG-R&D-3: I think we'll want to have a small backup reactor ready. Like, from a cargo ship or something. Just to run the life support.
[12.11.2023 11:02:17] ALG-R&D-3: You'll have something like that on Kadesh, right?
[12.11.2023 11:02:56] (\^/)Vega: James: Sounds good! Yes, I think so, we have mobile reactors on the Kadesh, as the station was consturcted with modularity in-
[12.11.2023 11:02:59] (\^/)Vega: mind.
[12.11.2023 11:03:00] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: A more modern generator may cause power overflow issues with the nigh ancient electrical systems aboard the Vega.
[12.11.2023 11:03:34] ALG-R&D-3: Just fuc- just, uhm. Strap that in after the main one is decoupled. Couple welds here and there and connect the main lines.
[12.11.2023 11:03:57] ALG-R&D-3: Not permanently obviously, but it's going to need some power before we refurbish the main one.
[12.11.2023 11:03:59] ALG-R&D-3: Or get a new one.
[12.11.2023 11:04:31] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Hmmm. I suppose we could try it, though we run the risk of potentially burning out some circuitry or overloading
[12.11.2023 11:04:35] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: more decrepit fixtures.
[12.11.2023 11:04:55] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Still, if our friends here would like to attempt a quick reactor swap, we can certainly try.
[12.11.2023 11:04:58] ALG-R&D-3: I think that risk is going to be there regardless of the specifics of how we disconnect it.
[12.11.2023 11:05:39] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: We could try to by pass the reactor by connecting the Ship to Kadesh's power grid.
[12.11.2023 11:05:49] (\^/)Vega: James: We did some works back then on Livadia shipyard, pipes of interior / outer perimeter were replaced. So we won't have -
[12.11.2023 11:06:03] (\^/)Vega: flooded reactor with "dirty" water.
[12.11.2023 11:06:04] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Some modifications to the mooring point we could make a kitbash connection with the dock clamps
[12.11.2023 11:07:04] (\^/)Vega: James: Probably safest and easiest solution would be to open up hull panels structure and replace it as whole.
[12.11.2023 11:07:06] ALG-R&D-3: What do you think, Giraud? That could work.
[12.11.2023 11:07:22] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: A brilliant idea, yes! Do have your team onboard Kadesh prepare the system. Once it's ready, we can disconnect
[12.11.2023 11:07:33] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: the main reactor from the rest of the ship, and hook the Vega up to Kadesh's power grid.
[12.11.2023 11:08:01] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: At that point, your team can depart the Vega safely, and we can tow it away from Kadesh.
[12.11.2023 11:08:25] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Essential repairs to the structure can be performed much more easily without worry of interfering with live
[12.11.2023 11:09:00] ALG-R&D-3: Does uhm. Does the Cirrus have the power output to tow something of this mass?
[12.11.2023 11:09:19] ALG-R&D-3: I mean, I know it isn't going far, but still.
[12.11.2023 11:09:28] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: electrical circuits.
[12.11.2023 11:09:40] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Oh, uh. At least a few klicks, certainly.
[12.11.2023 11:09:43] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Probably not much further.
[12.11.2023 11:10:27] (\^/)Vega: James: What if we would stabilize output of the powerplant and let it fly itself to the Carthage?
[12.11.2023 11:10:36] ALG-R&D-3: There's a Hercules at Memphis. That's an option.
[12.11.2023 11:10:54] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: CG: Mmh. But you said earlier you were concerned about the Vega's structural integrity potentially not standing up to
[12.11.2023 11:11:06] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: the forces experienced inside a jumphole tunnel, yes?
[12.11.2023 11:11:42] (\^/)Vega: James: Indeed, but I had slight hope that we can repair several turbines to make things going in direction of the shipyard.
[12.11.2023 11:12:04] (\^/)Vega: James: I believe towing this ship though asteroid field is a tricky mission.
[12.11.2023 11:12:24] (\^/)Vega: James: But either way... The Order will provide escort for this mission.
[12.11.2023 11:12:43] ALG-R&D-3: It's not the hostile forces I'm worried about. Well, it is that, too.
[12.11.2023 11:12:57] ALG-R&D-3: But it's more the ship losing hull integrity if it's towed without power.
[12.11.2023 11:13:28] ALG-R&D-3: Then again, it's survived since 600 or so, so....
[12.11.2023 11:13:32] ALG-R&D-3: Maybe it'll be fine?
[12.11.2023 11:14:23] (\^/)Vega: James: You have the point. So can we inpsect the reactor before going into next step? And judging by its shape we can define -
[12.11.2023 11:14:27] (\^/)Vega: next steps.
[12.11.2023 11:14:31] ALG-R&D-3: Your call, Giraud. You're the expert.
[12.11.2023 11:15:06] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Mmh. The most important thing right now is that we shut down that main reactor.
[12.11.2023 11:15:23] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Have Kadesh's engineers prepared the docking clamp power transfer rig?
[12.11.2023 11:16:14] (\^/)Vega: James: Kadesh would able to provive life support for the Vega even with main powerplant disabled.
[12.11.2023 11:16:41] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: The Engineers report they have something ready. Wont know if it works until we try it
[12.11.2023 11:16:45] (\^/)Vega: James: So we have the room to investigate fursther steps.
[12.11.2023 11:16:51] ALG-R&D-3: Okay, well that's well and good, but you most definitely should be prepared for a total shutdown of life support.
[12.11.2023 11:16:55] ALG-R&D-3: Suits, everything.
[12.11.2023 11:17:01] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Indeed.
[12.11.2023 11:17:14] ALG-R&D-3: Hostile contact.
[12.11.2023 11:17:20] (\^/)Vega: James: Reported to the crew.
[12.11.2023 11:17:26] ALG-R&D-3: We're investigating.
[12.11.2023 11:17:36] Bulbule: *ENEMY ENTITY DETECTED*
[12.11.2023 11:17:43] Bulbule: *BULBULE ENTITY IGNORES ENEMY*
[12.11.2023 11:17:58] ALG-R&D-3: Fuck me that's a big one.
[12.11.2023 11:18:02] (\^/)Vega: James: I hope Kadesh security systems would keep the entity away.
[12.11.2023 11:18:07] Death: Freespirita has died
[12.11.2023 11:18:07] (\^/)Vega: James: Indeed.
[12.11.2023 11:18:37] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: I will maintain a perimetre
[12.11.2023 11:19:04] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: We'll continue the procedure unless the hostile reapproaches.
[12.11.2023 11:19:20] (\^/)Vega: James: Power fluctuations are much higher than before... We are trying to get into Kadesh's moor.
[12.11.2023 11:19:57] ALG-R&D-3: Looks like the aliens aren't interested. Yet.
[12.11.2023 11:20:03] ALG-R&D-3: If they return, that might be a problem.
[12.11.2023 11:20:07] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: We have a lifter enroute at highest speed. Just take it easy, don't push that reactor any more than necessary.
[12.11.2023 11:21:29] (\^/)Vega: James: I won't even touch the controls of the Vega reactors anymore. Let it drift to Kadesh direction. This is unexpected -
[12.11.2023 11:22:11] (\^/)Vega: behaviour. We get used to its strange output but now it seems rather dead.
[12.11.2023 11:22:20] ALG-R&D-3: Well I sure am glad we started Memphis, because bringing a ship like that from Rheinland in a realistic timeframe would uhm.
[12.11.2023 11:22:22] ALG-R&D-3: Not be realistic.
[12.11.2023 11:22:28] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Quite!
[12.11.2023 11:23:36] (\^/)Vega: James: We're moored with the station, thankfully. At this moment the technicians connecting lifesupport systems between Kadesh-
[12.11.2023 11:23:39] (\^/)Vega: and Vega.
[12.11.2023 11:23:57] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: We're looking good thus far.
[12.11.2023 11:24:21] (\^/)Vega: James: So we will able to shut down powerplant safetly in a bit. Hope so.
[12.11.2023 11:24:30] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Wonderful, wonderful.
[12.11.2023 11:25:01] (\^/)Vega: James: You can get into the Vega though its docking bays, enjoy the hospitaly that station can to provide.
[12.11.2023 11:25:16] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Before you shut down Vega's reactors, I highly recommend all non-essential personnel depart the ship and
[12.11.2023 11:25:20] (\^/)Vega: James: Using Vega docking bays isn't safest at this moment.
[12.11.2023 11:25:25] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: those remaining get suits on with all haste.
[12.11.2023 11:25:27] ALG-R&D-3: I'll keep an eye out. That uh....
[12.11.2023 11:25:37] ALG-R&D-3: That fucking massive alien was a concern, to say the least.
[12.11.2023 11:25:52] (\^/)Vega: James: Acknowledged.
[12.11.2023 11:26:03] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Scanners are clear so far
[12.11.2023 11:26:16] (\^/)Vega: James: It seems we are lucky today/
[12.11.2023 11:27:24] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Freelancer, this is an active nuclear hazard zone.
[12.11.2023 11:27:32] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I would advise you to keep your distance for your own safety.
[12.11.2023 11:27:38] 2023-11-12 11:27:39 SMT  Traffic control alert: Kandinsky has docked
[12.11.2023 11:27:49] (\^/)Vega: James: It can be. Be he's risky, it seems.
[12.11.2023 11:27:51] ALG-Arbeiter: Guten morgen - Arbeiter's on site, sir.
[12.11.2023 11:28:09] (\^/)Vega: James: Good morning, you are about time!
[12.11.2023 11:28:19] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Glad to see you. Giraud here. Thank you for arriving so swiftly.
[12.11.2023 11:28:46] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Vega, do let us know when the personnel transfer has been completed.
[12.11.2023 11:28:50] (\^/)Vega: James: While our technicians are connecting life support systems, can you keep the ship aligned in direction of the station?
[12.11.2023 11:29:21] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Indeed. Arbeiter, please keep the Vega in place in case anything knocks it off course.
[12.11.2023 11:29:31] ALG-R&D-3: I can't believe that call to Memphis went through so quickly. You really must have burned fuel coming here, Arbeiter.
[12.11.2023 11:29:32] ALG-Arbeiter: Got it.
[12.11.2023 11:30:17] ALG-Arbeiter: Cutting power to side thrusters.
[12.11.2023 11:30:23] ALG-Arbeiter: Got it, I'm in position.
[12.11.2023 11:30:40] ALG-R&D-3: I'm going to position myself very close to the Vega's reactor, so if it blows up, at least I'll die quickly.
[12.11.2023 11:30:45] (\^/)Vega: James: The crew successfully disambarked from the Vega.
[12.11.2023 11:31:00] ALG-Arbeiter: Locking on the hy-mags.
[12.11.2023 11:31:19] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Excellent. In that case, give us a countdown for control rod insertion.
[12.11.2023 11:31:22] (\^/)Vega: James: The reactor is remaining on the idle though.
[12.11.2023 11:31:26] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Kadesh is Reporting ready to engage take over Power control for the Vega
[12.11.2023 11:31:50] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I recommend a delay of three seconds between control rod insertion and Kadesh power transfer activation.
[12.11.2023 11:32:06] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: The systems may experience a momentane flicker, but you certainly won't lose oxygen in that timeframe.
[12.11.2023 11:32:15] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Message relayed.....Kadesh control is standing by
[12.11.2023 11:32:25] ALG-R&D-3: You uh....you ever think about your place in the universe, if you're in a situation when it might immediately end if things go-
[12.11.2023 11:32:26] ALG-R&D-3: wrong?
[12.11.2023 11:32:31] (\^/)Vega: James: Copy that. You should have controls over the Vega now.
[12.11.2023 11:32:39] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Alright.
[12.11.2023 11:32:45] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Many times Pilot..many times
[12.11.2023 11:33:08] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Let's see here... [Giraud pulls up a holoscreen from the Cirrus's control dashboard.]
[12.11.2023 11:33:16] ALG-R&D-3: I think I'm happy with where I am. If this thing blows, I'll be happy with my life.
[12.11.2023 11:33:26] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Alrighty! Are we ready to all NOT die~?
[12.11.2023 11:33:35] ALG-R&D-3: Push it, Giraud.
[12.11.2023 11:33:44] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Kadesh is standing by
[12.11.2023 11:33:47] (\^/)Vega: James: I like that you stay optimistic.
[12.11.2023 11:33:54] ALG-Arbeiter: Verdammt. I didn't know things are this bad.
[12.11.2023 11:34:09] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: I have taken on Nomad Siege morphs..they didnt end me, and this wont either
[12.11.2023 11:34:09] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Countdown to control rod insertion. Three, two, one. [He sends the command, with the 17% functional control rods
[12.11.2023 11:34:19] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: being plunged into the reactor chamber inside the Vega.]
[12.11.2023 11:34:34] ALG-R&D-3: It's uh. Well, we're alive, so I guess it turned- okay. Off.
[12.11.2023 11:34:42] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Kadesh control, transfer power.
[12.11.2023 11:34:54] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Kadesh are reporting power fluctuations accross all decks...the reactor is compensating...
[12.11.2023 11:35:11] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Vega actual, do you read us? Are your systems online?
[12.11.2023 11:35:13] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Standby
[12.11.2023 11:35:23] (\^/)Vega: James: Now I can to speak. We're on Kadesh support now.
[12.11.2023 11:35:33] Kandinsky: Greetings gentlemen !
[12.11.2023 11:35:34] ALG-R&D-3: Sys check?
[12.11.2023 11:35:35] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Power transfer...seems to be stable.
[12.11.2023 11:36:07] ALG-R&D-3: Nice. A bit anticlimactic, but I guess I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the giant explosion on account of being in it.
[12.11.2023 11:36:14] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Phenomenale!
[12.11.2023 11:36:35] ALG-Arbeiter: Arbeiter here - I'm moving this thing to secure the Vega even further to Kadesh.
[12.11.2023 11:36:43] ALG-Arbeiter: Disengaging hydraulics.
[12.11.2023 11:36:45] (\^/)Vega: James: The reactor is offline, it slowly cool downs, though temperatures still high.
[12.11.2023 11:37:01] ALG-R&D-3: Yeah maybe put a couple tow cables on there. If the tractors fail.
[12.11.2023 11:37:04] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Yes, that's to be expected. The reactor will take, at minimum, several hours to fully disengage.
[12.11.2023 11:37:21] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Kadesh have reported the Reactor is taking the strain, but they have had to shut down some of the Stations systems to-
[12.11.2023 11:37:22] (\^/)Vega: James: The rods pool is almost dry.
[12.11.2023 11:37:23] (\^/)Phaenon: compensate
[12.11.2023 11:37:40] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Hopefully this state of affairs won't last too long.
[12.11.2023 11:37:58] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Vega, do I still have control?
[12.11.2023 11:38:10] (\^/)Vega: James: Yes, you have the controls.
[12.11.2023 11:38:27] (\^/)Vega: James: Though self check may be glitchy with many systems scratched.
[12.11.2023 11:38:48] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Please report all unused decks. I'm currently powering down your weaponry, radar, shielding, and tertiary thrust systems.
[12.11.2023 11:38:58] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: We want to minimize the load on Kadesh as much as possible.
[12.11.2023 11:40:04] (\^/)Vega: James: There is literally no one onboard of the Vega, beside command on the brdige and reactor section. They are infomed.
[12.11.2023 11:40:29] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Fantastic. Disabling tertiary and secondary life support systems. Primary remains engaged.
[12.11.2023 11:40:43] (\^/)Vega: James: Copy that.
[12.11.2023 11:40:44] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Lighting to all decks excepting bridge and reactor is also disabled.
[12.11.2023 11:40:56] ALG-R&D-3: Oh my. Get ready for a really loud whooshing noise.
[12.11.2023 11:41:25] (\^/)Vega: James: Oh shit, what was that?!
[12.11.2023 11:41:28] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Kadesh control, is power outflow stabilizing?
[12.11.2023 11:41:41] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Stand by....
[12.11.2023 11:41:52] (\^/)Vega: James: Vega never used to make sounds like that.
[12.11.2023 11:42:12] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Small fluctuations but otherwise stable. They beleive the age of the power infastructure is the cause
[12.11.2023 11:42:47] ALG-R&D-3: It's the air pressure. All the valves are inactive so a lot of pressurization is going to drop on an old ship like that.
[12.11.2023 11:43:10] ALG-R&D-3: That's normal. Just....don't leave the bridge.
[12.11.2023 11:43:12] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Well! I'd say this has gone about as optimally as possible under these circumstances, yes?
[12.11.2023 11:43:39] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Certainly could of been worse..but lets not celebrate until the reactor is dealt with fully
[12.11.2023 11:43:49] ALG-R&D-3: Considering we weren't consumed by a giant nuclear fireball? Yes. As well as it could have gone.,
[12.11.2023 11:44:03] (\^/)Vega: James: True, but with Nomads sneaking around that could change in a moment.
[12.11.2023 11:44:23] ALG-R&D-3: Yeah, good point. I'll have another quick run around.
[12.11.2023 11:44:35] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: On that front, I believe we'll have to keep our fingers crossed for the time being.
[12.11.2023 11:44:45] (\^/)Vega: James: Though I still hope that Kadesh has enough of firepower to stand off of their curiosity.
[12.11.2023 11:45:04] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Indeed
[12.11.2023 11:45:20] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Right. So now the task is how to extricate the reactor core from the Vega itself.
[12.11.2023 11:45:58] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Just to double-triple-check, all personnel in the reactor control room are also wearing spaceworthy hardsuits, yes?
[12.11.2023 11:46:50] ALG-R&D-3: No Core, no aliens. For now, I guess we're good.
[12.11.2023 11:46:57] (\^/)Vega: James: Shall we start such processes on the Carthage?
[12.11.2023 11:47:38] (\^/)Vega: James: Tearing ship apart can be tricky for transportation.
[12.11.2023 11:48:05] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Hmm. It's a dilemma. The reactor is in a dangerous state, and is the most likely section of the Vega to give us
[12.11.2023 11:48:14] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: The Vega isnt going anywhere without its own power..less you think it can drag Kadesh with it
[12.11.2023 11:48:36] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: trouble in the jump tunnel, but at the same time, removing it will expose sensitive systems to hyperspace.
[12.11.2023 11:48:54] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: We're also getting a message from our friends in the Battlegroup Revenant that hostile forces may be inbound.
[12.11.2023 11:49:07] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Alien or Core?
[12.11.2023 11:49:11] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Alien.
[12.11.2023 11:49:38] ALG-R&D-3: Probably the same beast we saw earlier.
[12.11.2023 11:49:51] (\^/)Vega: James: What if we would able to provide more platform tow ships, so even with such of ship of immense sizes we will able to -
[12.11.2023 11:49:51] ALG-R&D-3: If it's avoiding confrontation, all the better for us.
[12.11.2023 11:50:13] (\^/)Vega: navigate in asteroinds areas and in jumphole sequence?
[12.11.2023 11:50:28] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Do you have tugships on-hand?
[12.11.2023 11:50:39] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: The Arbeiter is the only one we have on site.
[12.11.2023 11:50:54] (\^/)Vega: James: I think we should have one onboard of the Kadesh, another one is on the Freeport 11.
[12.11.2023 11:50:58] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Can you do an assessment on the structual integrity. We could risk using a Jumpship
[12.11.2023 11:51:01] ALG-R&D-3: Arbeiter has the thrust needed to move the Vega. Just....not very quickly.
[12.11.2023 11:51:32] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Hmm. Yes, given we're... /somewhat/ strapped for time here!
[12.11.2023 11:52:00] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I'll perform some rudimentary checks, and if things look nominal, we can attempt to use a jumpship directly to Mu.
[12.11.2023 11:52:05] (\^/)Vega: James: Anything that could move this brick our of this place is better than nothing... Other than that-
[12.11.2023 11:52:16] ALG-Arbeiter: Ja. I'll try my best over here.
[12.11.2023 11:52:25] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: James, does Phonix have a Jump capable ship?
[12.11.2023 11:52:31] ALG-R&D-3: That is uhm. I do not think you want to bring a ship with no shields into hyperspace.
[12.11.2023 11:52:33] (\^/)Vega: jump drive can be also considered, but not sure if it'll work with ship of such size.
[12.11.2023 11:52:42] ALG-R&D-3: It's....survivable, probably. But a terrible idea.
[12.11.2023 11:52:46] (\^/)Vega: James: With powerplant disabled, of course.
[12.11.2023 11:52:48] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Damn..
[12.11.2023 11:53:20] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Dealing with radioactive interstellar garbage for a career is also a terrible idea, yet here we all are, Miss Fenton!
[12.11.2023 11:53:25] ALG-R&D-3: If you want my uneducated opinion, we should initiate a tow.
[12.11.2023 11:53:40] (\^/)Vega: James: So yeah, better to stay in one piece and slow than risky mission.
[12.11.2023 11:53:42] ALG-R&D-3: Carthage is....a fair distance, but it's doable.
[12.11.2023 11:53:59] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I'm going to begin my analysis of the Vega's structural integrity. Please ask our friends in the Order if they have an
[12.11.2023 11:54:07] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: ETA on the purple space whale.
[12.11.2023 11:55:01] ALG-R&D-3: They're looking, no location.
[12.11.2023 11:55:02] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: [All sorts of monitoring systems on the Vega's bridge would indicate security breaches as Giraud combs through whatever
[12.11.2023 11:55:08] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: metrics are accessible and functional.]
[12.11.2023 11:56:47] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Primary life support gas pressures are all nominal. Cirrus scanners indicate... ernh, less than optimal integrity on
[12.11.2023 11:57:20] ALG-Arbeiter: If we are to vacate the premises, it could take me a good while to tow an entire Bismarck, keep that in mind bitte.
[12.11.2023 11:57:44] ALG-R&D-3: Arbeiter, you can probably accelerate this fat thing to about as fast as we can reasonably go in a reasonable timeframe, right?
[12.11.2023 11:57:46] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: aft port hull girders.
[12.11.2023 11:57:53] ALG-R&D-3: I mean, that's what the Hercules is for.
[12.11.2023 11:58:43] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Uuuunfortunately, we don't have time to reinforce said girders, and we'll have to deconstruct them in order to remove
[12.11.2023 11:58:48] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: the reactor eventually anyway.
[12.11.2023 11:58:52] (\^/)Vega: James: Not sure if one Hercules is capable of towing Vega, nor its a good idea of doing it without escort.
[12.11.2023 11:59:21] ALG-R&D-3: It can. It'll just accelerate pretty slowly. But I mean....it's literally a tugship. That's what it's designed for.
[12.11.2023 11:59:50] ALG-R&D-3: The asteroids? Yeah, that might be an issue.
[12.11.2023 12:00:01] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Indeed, I'd rather have three of them. But one is what we have, so we'll just have to make do.
[12.11.2023 12:00:14] (\^/)Vega: James: Hm, that's sounds good. Let me to send a communication to Order, if they could provide an escort
[12.11.2023 12:00:16] ALG-Arbeiter: I'll try my best over here.
[12.11.2023 12:00:37] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Excellent. I'll assess the fore girders.
[12.11.2023 12:00:49] ALG-R&D-3: Battlegroup Revenant has contacted us.
[12.11.2023 12:01:45] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Hello, friends!
[12.11.2023 12:01:54] ALG-R&D-3: They've been stalking the alien. From its previous behaviour, it might not be looking for trouble.
[12.11.2023 12:02:06] ALG-Arbeiter: I believe I can try deploying some cables now.
[12.11.2023 12:02:12] ALG-Arbeiter: What's our vector?
[12.11.2023 12:02:15] (\^/)Vega: James: I have tried to reach out Order Primary Fleet, but so far no response.
[12.11.2023 12:02:31] (\^/)Phaenon: C4
[12.11.2023 12:02:41] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Oui, we'll be headed towards the Mu anomaly.
[12.11.2023 12:02:59] ALG-R&D-3: I'll take a lead of around eight klicks.
[12.11.2023 12:03:14] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Fantastic, thank you Kimberly.
[12.11.2023 12:03:21] ALG-R&D-3: Just Kim is fine.
[12.11.2023 12:03:26] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Kim it is, then.
[12.11.2023 12:04:32] |>R<|RCV-Resheph: dont call help
[12.11.2023 12:04:40] (\^/)Phaenon: eh
[12.11.2023 12:04:40] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Alright, Francisco. Cabling attached?
[12.11.2023 12:04:49] |>R<|StalkerIIII: wtf
[12.11.2023 12:04:52] |>R<|StalkerIIII: CALL IT
[12.11.2023 12:05:00] |>R<|RCV-Resheph: no we can handle it
[12.11.2023 12:05:04] ALG-Arbeiter: Yeah. I got it.
[12.11.2023 12:05:06] |>R<|StalkerIIII: no we cant
[12.11.2023 12:05:13] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: The fore and central hull girders are in much better shape than the aft ones, so towing shouldn't compromise
[12.11.2023 12:05:14] ALG-R&D-3: Nothing here so far.
[12.11.2023 12:05:16] (\^/)Phaenon: What type of ship is it?
[12.11.2023 12:05:16] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: hull integrity at all.
[12.11.2023 12:05:20] ALG-R&D-3: Except rocks.
[12.11.2023 12:05:32] ALG-Arbeiter: I need to get into position first.
[12.11.2023 12:05:43] (\^/)Vega: James: Arbeiter, have you enabled electric magnets?
[12.11.2023 12:05:48] ALG-Arbeiter: Alright - deploying cables now.
[12.11.2023 12:05:55] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I'm activating Vega's reserve power. Assuming the only active systems are comms and primary life support, I believe
[12.11.2023 12:06:08] (\^/)Vega: James: Or we are using only cables?
[12.11.2023 12:06:18] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: that once the Vega disconnects from Kadesh's power grid, we'll have around thirty-seven minutes of electrical uptime.
[12.11.2023 12:06:34] ALG-R&D-3: I sure as fuck hope you're using tractors AND cables.
[12.11.2023 12:06:40] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: This means that the only light you'll have is that emitted by your control panels, James.
[12.11.2023 12:06:41] ALG-R&D-3: You know, redundant systems.
[12.11.2023 12:06:41] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: James, i am heading to Delta to tend to Nomad
[12.11.2023 12:07:11] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Kim, please, Francisco is a professional.
[12.11.2023 12:07:22] ALG-Arbeiter: Uh, uhhh. Yeah. Sure am!
[12.11.2023 12:07:29] ALG-Arbeiter: Exactly.
[12.11.2023 12:07:30] ALG-R&D-3: This is uhm. This part is actually scarier than the whole "potential nuclear explosion" part.
[12.11.2023 12:07:44] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: [The lights on the Vega's bridge and in the reactor control room go out.]
[12.11.2023 12:07:55] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Kadesh control, release the Vega.
[12.11.2023 12:08:00] (\^/)Vega: James: Well, I hope you know what you are saying... Lets do it.
[12.11.2023 12:08:15] ALG-R&D-3: Full speed ahead.
[12.11.2023 12:08:34] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: We can activate shields just before entering the jump anomaly. It will severely cut into the electrical uptime, but...
[12.11.2023 12:08:35] (\^/)Vega: Kadesh Controls: Acknowdleged, the Vega has been disconnected from the station sub systems.
[12.11.2023 12:08:35] ALG-R&D-3: Contact.
[12.11.2023 12:08:43] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: It's likely a necessary safety measure.
[12.11.2023 12:08:59] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Arbeiter, begin tow at impulse speed.
[12.11.2023 12:09:06] ALG-R&D-3: Corsair.
[12.11.2023 12:09:17] ALG-Arbeiter: I'm taking the necessary precautions.
[12.11.2023 12:09:25] |>R<|RCV-Resheph: dont engage
[12.11.2023 12:09:30] ALG-Arbeiter: How's the situation looking from you, Vega?
[12.11.2023 12:09:52] ALG-R&D-3: Goodness. It's actually moving.
[12.11.2023 12:09:58] (\^/)Vega: James: Arbeiter, just dont stop please. Don't want to smash into you!
[12.11.2023 12:10:23] (\^/)Vega: James: With the mass of Vega that could have the consequnces.
[12.11.2023 12:10:29] Changing screen mode=full
[12.11.2023 12:10:35] ALG-R&D-3: I am equally impressed and terrified by a ship of this tonnage moving entirely with external power.
[12.11.2023 12:10:38] ALG-Arbeiter: No worries, I'm keeping myself at a reasonable distance over here. Plus, I can get some extra pull strength here.
[12.11.2023 12:10:42] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: There's enough debris and gravitational interference here that if the Arbeiter stopped, it would be more likely
[12.11.2023 12:10:48] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: to crash into Palmyra than the Arbeiter.
[12.11.2023 12:10:56] ALG-Arbeiter: Alright, Vega. Let's do a small left...
[12.11.2023 12:10:57] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I doubt that's much comfort, but, well.
[12.11.2023 12:11:39] ALG-Arbeiter: Alright. Don't wanna pull on the tether too hard. Commencing nav path.
[12.11.2023 12:11:52] (\^/)Vega: James: Copy that.
[12.11.2023 12:11:54] ALG-R&D-3: I guess this is obvious, but don't run into any rocks.
[12.11.2023 12:12:32] ALG-Arbeiter: Okay, I'm seeing some rocks along the way.
[12.11.2023 12:12:44] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I apologize, James, for the darkness aboard, but we have to conserve all the power we can here.
[12.11.2023 12:12:56] ALG-Arbeiter: I'm gonna try to make this easy on you.
[12.11.2023 12:13:09] ALG-R&D-3: Then again, this thing is designed to withstand massive antimatter charges. So a little asteroid impact won't hurt it much.
[12.11.2023 12:13:10] ALG-R&D-3: Right?
[12.11.2023 12:13:18] (\^/)Vega: James: No problem, it a wise decision.
[12.11.2023 12:13:31] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: That depends entirely on the exterior hull plating and internal reinforcement struts.
[12.11.2023 12:13:47] ALG-Arbeiter: I have a visual on the anomaly over here. Uh, remind me again how you intend to send this over the jump hole?
[12.11.2023 12:13:57] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Given the Vega's age, well, I doubt they're iridium alloy, let's say that much. But good old titanium-steel will do.
[12.11.2023 12:13:59] ALG-Arbeiter: Y'reckon the Vega can do the jump?
[12.11.2023 12:14:00] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Ah!
[12.11.2023 12:14:03] ALG-R&D-3: Okay, so. If everyone dies on that unshielded ship through hyperspace, don't say I didn't warn you. Because I did.
[12.11.2023 12:14:05] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Yes, there's the jump anomaly.
[12.11.2023 12:14:13] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Don't worry about that.
[12.11.2023 12:14:25] ALG-R&D-3: Uhm. Good luck, I guess?
[12.11.2023 12:14:27] ALG-Arbeiter: I am paid to not worry, therefore I will not worry.
[12.11.2023 12:14:39] (\^/)Vega: James: The luck should be on our side.
[12.11.2023 12:14:44] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: So, the plan, Francisco, is for you to RELEASE CABLING at nine hundred meters from the anomaly.
[12.11.2023 12:14:48] (\^/)Vega: James: Eh, I hope so.
[12.11.2023 12:14:50] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I will raise the Vega's shielding.
[12.11.2023 12:14:54] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Inertia will carry it into the hole.
[12.11.2023 12:14:57] |>R<|StalkerIIII: fire now zoner
[12.11.2023 12:14:58] ALG-Arbeiter: Got it, got it.
[12.11.2023 12:15:12] ALG-R&D-3: So, next issue. The mines. They're pretty low yield, so we should be alright. Probably.
[12.11.2023 12:15:14] ALG-Arbeiter: Preparing to detatch tethers in three...
[12.11.2023 12:15:17] ALG-Arbeiter: Two... one.
[12.11.2023 12:15:19] (\^/)Vega: James: Tell my wife that I love her.
[12.11.2023 12:15:21] ALG-Arbeiter: Detaching.
[12.11.2023 12:15:24] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Raising shields.
[12.11.2023 12:15:25] ALG-R&D-3: I wouldn't stand anywhere near the windows, though.
[12.11.2023 12:15:31] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: [The Vega's shields lumber back to life.]
[12.11.2023 12:15:42] (\^/)Vega: James: See you on other side...

Before reaching out the jump hole to Omicron Mu, the cords were disconnected and Vega drifted into the anomaly, thankfully everything went safely, its a first time in my life when we have travelled like a lifeless rock inside the jump hole, that was a risky move, though we had no other choice to reach out Carthage Shipyard.

As cords were connected we went through the minefield in the clear path though navigation buoys to the Taba Starbase and only then we finally were on a straight path to the shipyard.

Everything went safely, thankfully Nomads weren’t after us inside of the Omicron Mu. Although with the Vega docked -next-by- to Carthage Shipayard’s drydocks we would face an issue - the Order drydocks isn’t big enough to welcome aboard Bismarck class battleships. Although that should cover our needs, the spot seems to be the safest solution for us, furthermore we are not going to build anew the vessel, so some temporary scaffolding around the Vega would do enough of the work for the powerplant and partial hull modules replacements.

I have spoken with them in regard to hull modules too, it seems they are quite professional folk when it comes to them. They have been told there’s been a civil war within Rheinland?.. Eh, guess I should get into modern world layouts and read the news.

Code:
[12.11.2023 12:16:18] (\^/)Vega: James: Shit, we made it
[12.11.2023 12:16:20] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Ah, the ship's in one piece! And how about you and your crew, James?
[12.11.2023 12:16:29] ALG-R&D-3: Hey, it's the Vega! And it's in fewer than two pieces! Excellent!
[12.11.2023 12:16:42] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: [Giraud gives a soft "golf-clap".]
[12.11.2023 12:16:52] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Masterfully executed, if I do say so myself!
[12.11.2023 12:16:59] ALG-Arbeiter: Now, I ain't a shipbuilder or nothin', but I'm sure a Bismarck's made outta a whole lot more than one piece?
[12.11.2023 12:16:59] (\^/)Vega: James: We are fine, though feels sorta unusual in the spacesuits and without lights.
[12.11.2023 12:17:06] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Right. Power conservation.
[12.11.2023 12:17:14] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: [Giraud disables the Vega's shields once again.]
[12.11.2023 12:17:25] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Now, Francisco, this is where you really earn your keep.
[12.11.2023 12:17:27] ALG-R&D-3: It's many pieces, but they do need to be attached to each other. Which they currently are, which is great.
[12.11.2023 12:17:48] ALG-R&D-3: Alright, I'm moving ahead.
[12.11.2023 12:17:49] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Re-attach cables, re-engage magnolok(TM) systems.
[12.11.2023 12:17:52] ALG-Arbeiter: Uh, not a good time for this or nothin'. But it's actually "Francesco" - just so that you can etch my name right on my -
[12.11.2023 12:17:53] ALG-Arbeiter: headstone.
[12.11.2023 12:17:59] ALG-Arbeiter: Gotcha.
[12.11.2023 12:17:59] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Oh, my apologies, Francesco!
[12.11.2023 12:18:12] ALG-Arbeiter: Engaging magnetic tethers... now.
[12.11.2023 12:18:13] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Anyways, your job is now to guide the Vega safely out of the minefield.
[12.11.2023 12:18:19] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Just follow the buoys.
[12.11.2023 12:18:21] (\^/)Vega: James: On your go, it seems i'm just an observer right now.
[12.11.2023 12:18:21] (\^/)Phaenon: only if dead pilots well XD
[12.11.2023 12:18:25] (\^/)Phaenon: dread*
[12.11.2023 12:18:33] ALG-Arbeiter: An observer to my greatness.
[12.11.2023 12:18:37] ALG-R&D-3: They're low-yield. Mostly EMP. But uh. You obviously still want to avoid them if you can.
[12.11.2023 12:18:42] (\^/)Vega: James: Indeed.
[12.11.2023 12:18:54] ALG-R&D-3: Although hey, with no electrical systems, I guess their EMP yield doesn't matter!
[12.11.2023 12:19:12] ALG-Arbeiter: Not gonna floor down the impulse speed throttle here. Gotta keep my head on a swivel right now.
[12.11.2023 12:19:26] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: The caution is well placed.
[12.11.2023 12:19:28] ALG-Arbeiter: This could take a while, Vega. You should probably brew some tea while you're waiting.
[12.11.2023 12:19:29] (\^/)Phaenon: Not fans of DTR? lol
[12.11.2023 12:19:43] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I don't think they have any hot water right now, I'm afraid.
[12.11.2023 12:19:45] (\^/)Vega: James: Right, stay careful here.
[12.11.2023 12:19:57] (\^/)Phaenon: wheres the ishtar?
[12.11.2023 12:20:15] ALG-Arbeiter: Oh right. Reactor's a bit iffy, ain't it?
[12.11.2023 12:20:17] (\^/)Phaenon: ahh
[12.11.2023 12:20:27] ALG-R&D-3: So, status on the Vega? Is it uhm....moving?
[12.11.2023 12:20:29] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: It is entirely offline and the Vega is running on reserve power.
[12.11.2023 12:20:38] ALG-Arbeiter: They're moving.
[12.11.2023 12:20:44] ALG-R&D-3: Excellent.
[12.11.2023 12:20:53] (\^/)Vega: James: We are not much different from a lifeless rock.
[12.11.2023 12:21:26] (\^/)Vega: James: As for the reactor, the temperatures of the rods slowly reducing.
[12.11.2023 12:21:32] ALG-R&D-3: Except for the life! You are still alive, right?
[12.11.2023 12:21:32] ALG-Arbeiter: Ah, there we go. Optimal speed for the tethers to stay in place.
[12.11.2023 12:22:14] (\^/)Vega: James: Oh, we are still alive, that's true!
[12.11.2023 12:22:16] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: James, can you provide an ETA on rod cooldown to safe handling temperatures?
[12.11.2023 12:22:29] (\^/)Vega: James: Though it feels like we are separate from the Vega.
[12.11.2023 12:23:23] (\^/)Vega: James: It was working on bare minimum for several weeks now. So...
[12.11.2023 12:24:16] (\^/)Vega: James: It can take up to several weeks to start up mantaincence works.
[12.11.2023 12:24:36] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Have you already spoken with the Order about the use of Carthage?
[12.11.2023 12:24:58] ALG-R&D-3: I can't imagine they'd object, the Phoenix are very close to them, right?
[12.11.2023 12:25:11] (\^/)Vega: James: Of course, Christian already made contact with the Order. They have all prepared.
[12.11.2023 12:25:25] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Phenomenale.
[12.11.2023 12:25:45] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Alright, so at some point we're going to need to change direction to head towards Carthage.
[12.11.2023 12:25:46] ALG-R&D-3: Uhm. What's your course? You know Carthage is north, right?
[12.11.2023 12:25:57] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Do we want to turn now, or wait until we get out of the asteroid field?
[12.11.2023 12:25:59] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Not sure if you have noticed all the mines around us
[12.11.2023 12:26:08] ALG-Arbeiter: We ought to get out of this field first, wouldn't want to let the Vega hit any rocks, you know.
[12.11.2023 12:26:27] (\^/)Vega: James: We better to pass though asteroids first and then align to the Carthage, I believe.
[12.11.2023 12:26:55] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Agreed.
[12.11.2023 12:27:21] ALG-R&D-3: Uh. Alright. That....doesn't make much sense to me, but I'm not in charge here.
[12.11.2023 12:27:49] ALG-R&D-3: Maybe Taba has a spare Bismarck reactor lying around.
[12.11.2023 12:27:52] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Francesco, darling, if you believe you can navigate directly through the asteroids while avoiding impacts, then
[12.11.2023 12:27:57] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: I have full confidence in your abilities.
[12.11.2023 12:28:20] ALG-Arbeiter: What? Oh, no. I don't wanna get my pay docked.
[12.11.2023 12:28:23] (\^/)Vega: James: I doubt that Order posses any Rheinland made technologies. At least of what I'm aware of.
[12.11.2023 12:28:35] ALG-R&D-3: It was sarcasm, James.
[12.11.2023 12:28:42] ALG-Arbeiter: Not a single dent will get the pleasure of scratching the Vega.
[12.11.2023 12:28:48] (\^/)Vega: James: Ah... Right.
[12.11.2023 12:28:51] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: To be honest with you, I believe we'll need to completely scrap the Vega's reactor.
[12.11.2023 12:29:03] ALG-R&D-3: Yeah that seems pretty likely.
[12.11.2023 12:29:05] ALG-Arbeiter: Let's take a small right here, Vega.
[12.11.2023 12:29:15] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: We could certainly repair it to roughly working order, but given its age, it would be... irresponsible.
[12.11.2023 12:29:16] ALG-Arbeiter: We'll follow along the buoys to get out of this field.
[12.11.2023 12:29:17] ALG-R&D-3: We actually might be able to get one together at Memphis.
[12.11.2023 12:29:23] (\^/)Vega: James: Yeah, I expected that... That gonna be costly.
[12.11.2023 12:29:38] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: In fact, it may be a good project for us.
[12.11.2023 12:29:57] ALG-Arbeiter: I reckon the clearing's wide enough for us to pick up the pace.
[12.11.2023 12:29:58] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Depending on what the Phoenix intends to do with the ship, we may be able to devise a fully custom reactor design.
[12.11.2023 12:30:16] ALG-Arbeiter: Ready for some full throttle, Vega? Can you handle that?
[12.11.2023 12:30:17] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Paperweight for Christians office i think
[12.11.2023 12:30:28] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: [Giraud lets out a giggle.]
[12.11.2023 12:30:41] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Certainly no papers will ever fall out of his folders again.
[12.11.2023 12:30:50] (\^/)Vega: James: Of course, full speed on your thortle!
[12.11.2023 12:30:57] ALG-Arbeiter: Got it.
[12.11.2023 12:31:04] (\^/)Vega: James: Otherwise it'll take forever.
[12.11.2023 12:31:31] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: James, is the Vega intended to eventually play an offensive role?
[12.11.2023 12:31:36] ALG-Arbeiter: Give a small nudge to your impulse velocity. The tether's pull will do the rest.
[12.11.2023 12:32:00] (\^/)Vega: James: As for the reactor, I think our is a really of anicent design.
[12.11.2023 12:32:27] ALG-Arbeiter: Left.
[12.11.2023 12:32:35] ALG-Arbeiter: Careful there.
[12.11.2023 12:33:00] ALG-Arbeiter: Oh God I hope you didn't just bump into any rocks, I want a full pay by the end of this!
[12.11.2023 12:33:14] ALG-Arbeiter: Okay, I reckon we're outside the field.
[12.11.2023 12:33:19] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Francesco, don't worry. You'll be getting full pay so long as it doesn't fall into a star.
[12.11.2023 12:33:22] ALG-Arbeiter: Sharp right.
[12.11.2023 12:33:34] (\^/)Vega: James: If you have the better design and technologies... There's no point to recreate same reactor.
[12.11.2023 12:34:01] (\^/)Vega: James: I believe modern Bismarcks are much more different inside than ours.
[12.11.2023 12:34:25] (\^/)Vega: James: Like few steps ahead. Or centuries.
[12.11.2023 12:34:33] ALG-R&D-3: Yes, they probably don't have two hundred year old graffiti in them stating "Werner sucks dicks".
[12.11.2023 12:34:41] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Pardon?
[12.11.2023 12:35:00] ALG-R&D-3: They have newer graffiti saying the same thing.
[12.11.2023 12:35:08] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: [Giraud lets out another giggle.]
[12.11.2023 12:35:14] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Some things truly are timeless, my dear.
[12.11.2023 12:35:39] (\^/)Vega: James: The ship interior design was radically changed to meet our needs, but the reactor section still have everything original
[12.11.2023 12:36:08] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Of course.
[12.11.2023 12:36:11] (\^/)Vega: include various words. *laughs*
[12.11.2023 12:36:29] ALG-R&D-3: So when you say you radically changed the interior. Did you leave all of the old graffiti?
[12.11.2023 12:36:50] ALG-R&D-3: Actually, there would be GMG graffiti over the original military stuff, too, right?
[12.11.2023 12:37:10] (\^/)Vega: James: None I'm aware of. But you could find it in powerplant section, if there even was one.
[12.11.2023 12:37:11] ALG-R&D-3: I know I said I didn't want to see the inside, when the ship was about to blow up, but now I kind of do.
[12.11.2023 12:37:29] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I have a feeling that we may be seeing quite a lot of the inside in the weeks and months to come.
[12.11.2023 12:37:46] (\^/)Vega: James: The Miners did not much with the ship, they have kept it in original shape.
[12.11.2023 12:37:51] ALG-R&D-3: Oh, certainly. I look forward to that.
[12.11.2023 12:38:11] ALG-R&D-3: They did leave traces, though. I'm sure.
[12.11.2023 12:38:16] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: If I may be so bold, I'm already fantasizing about what we might end up doing with the thing.
[12.11.2023 12:38:19] (\^/)Vega: James: At least what have said to be one of their Guildmasters.
[12.11.2023 12:38:34] ALG-R&D-3: You will move a box in some storage room, and behind it you will find "Akira Sugimori wuz here".
[12.11.2023 12:38:47] ALG-R&D-3: "724 as"
[12.11.2023 12:39:10] ALG-Arbeiter: Let's do a gentle right here.
[12.11.2023 12:39:10] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: But in Japanese, right?
[12.11.2023 12:39:31] ALG-Arbeiter: Don't wanna get caught in the planet's gravity.
[12.11.2023 12:39:57] ALG-R&D-3: I don't know, the Guildspeople are very cosmopolitan. I'd imagine much of their graffiti is in English.
[12.11.2023 12:39:57] (\^/)Vega: James: I would more afraid of sun gravity.
[12.11.2023 12:40:25] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: You know, I somewhat wonder if the GMG may have developed their own melange patois.
[12.11.2023 12:40:41] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: A mixture of Japanese, English, and whatever other dialects may be spoken by their personnel.
[12.11.2023 12:40:59] ALG-R&D-3: Oh, yeah. They sort of do that.
[12.11.2023 12:41:05] (\^/)Vega: James: So what name would be for that language?
[12.11.2023 12:41:14] (\^/)Vega: James: Gas language?
[12.11.2023 12:41:29] ALG-R&D-3: I'm at Wichter most of the time. Sigmas territory. So I meet a lot of Guildspeople, and their manner of speaking is....
[12.11.2023 12:41:50] ALG-R&D-3: Interesting. All totally comprehensible, but just...a little strange, with their word order and stuff.
[12.11.2023 12:41:51] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Perhaps "Sigma creole", even!
[12.11.2023 12:41:52] (\^/)Vega: James: Konnichiwa and all that stuff?
[12.11.2023 12:42:06] ALG-R&D-3: Of course, being from LA, that applies to Rheinland in general for me.
[12.11.2023 12:42:27] ALG-R&D-3: But I'm really used to the standard Berlin or Hamburg dialects by now.
[12.11.2023 12:42:31] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Perhaps in due time, ALG's activities in Gallia may see us develop a similar mode of speech.
[12.11.2023 12:42:58] ALG-R&D-3: Well, listen to yourself! You've probably adapted some hybrid speech yourself, Giraud.
[12.11.2023 12:43:04] ALG-Arbeiter: Lower your nose, Vega.
[12.11.2023 12:43:15] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Ah, Hamburg has a most delightful vernacular. "Ik heff mol een schuttschiff gesien."
[12.11.2023 12:43:31] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: It has such a "patter" to it compared to French.
[12.11.2023 12:43:43] ALG-R&D-3: Yeah I won't even try to understand Hamburg spaceport workers.
[12.11.2023 12:43:47] ALG-Arbeiter: Give some jolts to your side thrusters if you can, let's try to remain aligned here.
[12.11.2023 12:44:15] (\^/)Vega: James: Unfortunately all systems are offline.
[12.11.2023 12:44:36] (\^/)Vega: James: Thrusters are power-thirst.
[12.11.2023 12:44:54] ALG-R&D-3: Yeah take it easy on the power consumption.
[12.11.2023 12:44:57] ALG-Arbeiter: Righto - I reckon this is the general direction we're supposed to go to? I don't exactly know the coordinate for the base we're
[12.11.2023 12:44:58] ALG-Arbeiter: going to...
[12.11.2023 12:45:03] ALG-Arbeiter: Coordinates, sorry
[12.11.2023 12:45:08] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Your heading in the right direction
[12.11.2023 12:45:28] (\^/)Vega: James: It should be around 2G sector, left side.
[12.11.2023 12:45:36] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Allow me to upload precise coordinates to you now.
[12.11.2023 12:45:45] ALG-R&D-3: There's a big gas giant in the cloud there. That's where we're headed.
[12.11.2023 12:45:46] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: [beep boop beep brrrrrpp]
[12.11.2023 12:45:50] ALG-Arbeiter: Coordinates received.
[12.11.2023 12:46:04] ALG-R&D-3: If you get a massive gravitational signature in that general direction? That's the right direction.
[12.11.2023 12:46:08] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: We're precisely on course, I believe. You have a keen intuition about you, dear Francesco!
[12.11.2023 12:46:28] ALG-Arbeiter: I'm just trying to get it right.
[12.11.2023 12:46:46] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: James, I believe the Vega's reserve power will be running out in approximately three minutes.
[12.11.2023 12:47:09] ALG-R&D-3: Uh. What?
[12.11.2023 12:47:32] ALG-R&D-3: You do have suits with more power than that, right? Because we are not making it to Carthage in three minutes.
[12.11.2023 12:47:34] (\^/)Vega: James: Roger that. Either way, we are almost in position.
[12.11.2023 12:47:35] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: This entire time, my dear, the Vega has been running off of reserve power banked in the secondary capacitors.
[12.11.2023 12:47:45] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: The personnel aboard are all in hardsuits.
[12.11.2023 12:48:00] (\^/)Vega: James: Yeah, you are right - the capacitors almost hit dry.
[12.11.2023 12:48:07] ALG-R&D-3: Yeah. Just don't die in that fat green shell.
[12.11.2023 12:48:22] ALG-Arbeiter: Entering the nebula.
[12.11.2023 12:48:24] (\^/)Vega: James: Though we are still has enough of oxygen in our spacesuits, no worry.
[12.11.2023 12:48:25] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: In two minutes, I would advise turning on your suits' internal oxygen.
[12.11.2023 12:48:30] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Perfect.
[12.11.2023 12:48:48] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Unless you have a comms uplink in your suit, you'll be totally dark for the last leg of our trip here.
[12.11.2023 12:48:51] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: But we'll make it in time.
[12.11.2023 12:49:04] (\^/)Vega: James: Got Carthage vis... [static]
[12.11.2023 12:49:15] ALG-R&D-3: Wall of Seth, girls. Be prepared to not see or hear anything.
[12.11.2023 12:49:22] ALG-Arbeiter: Uh oh. Uh.
[12.11.2023 12:49:32] ALG-Arbeiter: Sharp right, Vega.
[12.11.2023 12:49:39] ALG-R&D-3: Comms range is really bad but our group is close enough.
[12.11.2023 12:49:47] ALG-Arbeiter: Watch the asteroids.
[12.11.2023 12:49:52] ALG-R&D-3: Probably won't hear anything from anywhere outside, though.
[12.11.2023 12:49:56] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Remember, Francesco, their comms and engines are down.
[12.11.2023 12:50:02] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: You're guiding them all on your own.
[12.11.2023 12:50:10] ALG-Arbeiter: Reassuring!
[12.11.2023 12:50:13] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: 6 k
[12.11.2023 12:50:20] ALG-Arbeiter: This is so dicey.
[12.11.2023 12:50:23] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: You've done a truly fantastique job thus far.
[12.11.2023 12:50:35] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Surely you can guide the ship into the drydocks here, in the final stretch.
[12.11.2023 12:50:39] ALG-R&D-3: Carthage docking control, we're coming in. Everything good for our arrival?
[12.11.2023 12:50:43] ALG-Arbeiter: Trying my best here, sir.
[12.11.2023 12:50:58] ALG-Arbeiter: Phew. Okay, think we made it.
[12.11.2023 12:51:01] (\^/)Phaenon: Von: Give that man a raise
[12.11.2023 12:51:14] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Right, Francesco. Guide them into the drydocks, release cabling, and then swiftly /swoosh/ around
[12.11.2023 12:51:16] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: to the rear of the Vega.
[12.11.2023 12:51:18] ALG-R&D-3: This has got to be the fattest damn ship that ever was moored at these 'yards.
[12.11.2023 12:51:26] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Once there, reattach cabling and cancel inertia with reverse thrust.
[12.11.2023 12:51:44] ALG-Arbeiter: You reckon this thing'll even fit inside the drydocks?
[12.11.2023 12:51:50] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Oh, ah, hmm.
[12.11.2023 12:51:52] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Perhaps not!
[12.11.2023 12:51:55] ALG-R&D-3: Uh...no. No, it will not.
[12.11.2023 12:52:09] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Well, just put it... near~ish to the drydock, then.
[12.11.2023 12:52:12] ALG-Arbeiter: I believe we can anchor it to the side.
[12.11.2023 12:52:22] ALG-Arbeiter: Should be good enough access for the repair crew, yeah?
[12.11.2023 12:52:30] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I do believe so.
[12.11.2023 12:52:36] ALG-R&D-3: We're really trusting in the Order's spaceborn engy corps here. Which we can, because they are excellent.
[12.11.2023 12:53:09] ALG-Arbeiter: Detatching tethers now.
[12.11.2023 12:53:14] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Excellent! Now we just, er. Have to disembark James and his crew.
[12.11.2023 12:53:30] ALG-R&D-3: Giraud. If there's nothing that can be done about the old reactor, do you think we can make a new one at Memphis?
[12.11.2023 12:53:37] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Oh, I'm quite sure.
[12.11.2023 12:53:52] ALG-R&D-3: I'd say it's possible. We have the nuclear engineers, we have nuclear materials and alloys to work with.
[12.11.2023 12:54:01] ALG-R&D-3: A lot of work, for sure, but probably doable.
[12.11.2023 12:54:30] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: VonCloud, do you have a hardsuit available to you?
[12.11.2023 12:54:40] (\^/)Vega: James: Thanks for taking us out of the Vega, finally light and fresh air.
[12.11.2023 12:54:51] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Excellent!
[12.11.2023 12:55:11] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Well, all things considered, that went off without a hitch! We even dodged the gigantic purple death squids.
[12.11.2023 12:55:26] ALG-R&D-3: Talk to Singer, she'll probably be interested.
[12.11.2023 12:55:29] (\^/)Vega: James: An excellent mission we have done over here, especiallly the Arbeiter.
[12.11.2023 12:55:40] (\^/)Vega: James: You captain has balls.
[12.11.2023 12:55:58] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Miss Fenton. Francesco.
[12.11.2023 12:56:08] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: All of you -- including the crew of the Arbeiter -- will be receiving a bonus.
[12.11.2023 12:56:16] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: If Finance won't authorize it, I'll pay for it myself.
[12.11.2023 12:56:28] ALG-R&D-3: Especially Francesco, he honestly did most of the work.
[12.11.2023 12:56:36] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Indubitably so.
[12.11.2023 12:56:41] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Fantastic job, everyone.
[12.11.2023 12:56:53] (\^/)Vega: James: Phoenix will make sure your work would be well paid regardless.
[12.11.2023 12:56:57] ALG-R&D-3: Although the whole Cirrus team not blowing everyone up was also great.
[12.11.2023 12:57:19] ALG-Arbeiter: Thank you, sir. Glad I could help.
[12.11.2023 12:57:42] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: This is what we pay you for, Francesco. Good work means good pay. That's what sets ALG apart from
[12.11.2023 12:57:47] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: those monsters at Kruger and Daumann.
[12.11.2023 12:58:03] (\^/)Vega: James: With Vega finally stationed to the shipyard we finally can examine each system.
[12.11.2023 12:58:07] ALG-R&D-3: Fuck 'em. Shot them in the war, would shoot them again at a moment's notice.
[12.11.2023 12:58:27] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I appreciate the spirit, Miss Fenton.
[12.11.2023 12:58:46] ALG-R&D-3: "Experimental weapons platform" means testing. Against live targets.
[12.11.2023 12:58:53] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Quite so.
[12.11.2023 12:59:05] ALG-R&D-3: Core, Daumann, Kruger, aliens....we'll shoot them all.
[12.11.2023 12:59:36] (\^/)Vega: James: As for Daumann, I believe you're also experienced with Bismarck design?
[12.11.2023 12:59:58] (\^/)Vega: James: We have several deck burned down, the hull panels needs to be replaced.
[12.11.2023 13:00:10] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: During the regrettable civil war against the fascistic imperialists, our company was responsible for servicing
[12.11.2023 13:00:13] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: the Federalist fleet.
[12.11.2023 13:00:15] (\^/)Vega: James: Not sure if its in your power, but curious to ask.
[12.11.2023 13:00:33] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: We have plenty of experience. Not to mention we have our own designs.
[12.11.2023 13:00:48] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: And, if I do say so, better designs than Daumann's antiquated garbage.
[12.11.2023 13:00:58] ALG-R&D-3: Obviously we would hope to do all the work on the project ourselves. The Daumann monarchists are at the very best, rivals.
[12.11.2023 13:01:02] (\^/)Vega: James: Oh, that's interesting. To be honest, I don't know anything regarding recent civil war in the Rheinland.
[12.11.2023 13:01:03] ALG-R&D-3: And more realistically, enemies.
[12.11.2023 13:01:20] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Miss Fenton can speak more on that matter than myself, I believe.
[12.11.2023 13:01:36] (\^/)Vega: James: Sounds like we found proper team to work with!
[12.11.2023 13:01:54] ALG-R&D-3: What I can speak of that matter is that I greatly enjoyed shooting Daumann to test this experimental weapons platform.
[12.11.2023 13:02:26] ALG-R&D-3: And would do so again, at any time, given the opportunity. But obviously they don't generally come out this far east.
[12.11.2023 13:03:00] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: They did recently dismantle their installation in Delta.
[12.11.2023 13:03:10] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Hopefully that means we won't see any more of them out here.
[12.11.2023 13:03:25] ALG-R&D-3: I hope not. They are close friends of the Core.
[12.11.2023 13:03:37] (\^/)Vega: James: I recently noticed that too, they have sold it or sent it to gas giant atmosphere?
[12.11.2023 13:04:20] ALG-R&D-3: Little unclear what happened with that project. I imagine it became unsustainable when the Rho system collapsed.
[12.11.2023 13:04:29] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: That would seem likely.
[12.11.2023 13:04:35] (\^/)Vega: James: So if you have expirienced a full servicing and construction of Bismarck class vessels... We will need to get though the
[12.11.2023 13:04:47] (\^/)Vega: ship and estimate required work and materials.
[12.11.2023 13:04:55] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Ah, we haven't fully constructed one from scratch.
[12.11.2023 13:05:10] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: However, we certainly have the capacity to do so, even if it would be -- at least in part -- a somewhat experimental ventur
[12.11.2023 13:05:12] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: venture.
[12.11.2023 13:05:14] ALG-R&D-3: But we could. Given enough time and resources.
[12.11.2023 13:05:37] (\^/)Vega: James: I see. Well, its not a really imporant over here, as it seems you are professionals when it comes to those bricks.
[12.11.2023 13:05:49] ALG-R&D-3: Giraud, talk to Singer. She'll be happy to start a project like that at Memphis, and talk to the people at Carthage.
[12.11.2023 13:05:54] (\^/)Vega: James: And we are thank you for that.
[12.11.2023 13:05:58] ALG-R&D-3: It's doable. Big project, but doable.
[12.11.2023 13:06:29] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I certainly will do so.
[12.11.2023 13:06:47] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: For now, I believe we could all do with some well earned rest. Perhaps after a round of celebratory drinks, yes?
[12.11.2023 13:06:52] ALG-R&D-3: So, is the Vega secured?
[12.11.2023 13:07:21] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Francesco, would you terribly mind securing the Vega to the side of the drydock with some magcabling?
[12.11.2023 13:07:34] (\^/)Vega: James: Vega is secured next to drydock, but its doable location for the repairs.
[12.11.2023 13:07:40] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: After that, I believe this phase of the operation will be well and truly complete.
[12.11.2023 13:07:43] ALG-R&D-3: Phoenix people, send some staff, some engineers over to Memphis. I think we'll want to do some planning there.
[12.11.2023 13:08:07] (\^/)Vega: James: Seems Order didn't knew what we would bring there when designed the shipyards. *laughs*
[12.11.2023 13:08:24] ALG-R&D-3: Yeah, hah. Not their usual fare, this one.
[12.11.2023 13:08:29] (\^/)Vega: James: Copy that, I'll refer that to Cristian.
[12.11.2023 13:08:34] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: If need be, we may even be able to establish some /very/ rudimentary drydock facilities at Memphis.
[12.11.2023 13:08:37] ALG-Arbeiter: Uh, I ain't a militant or nothing, but I'd be pretty darn scared too if a Bismarck pulled up at my docks...
[12.11.2023 13:08:43] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: But that is a task for future us.
[12.11.2023 13:08:57] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Present me would very much like a glass of champagne and a nice nap.
[12.11.2023 13:09:30] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: Gentleman and lady, I will be in touch with you quite soon.
[12.11.2023 13:09:31] (\^/)Vega: James: Either way I think we all deserved to have a drink on the Carthage. Great job everyone.
[12.11.2023 13:09:33] ALG-R&D-3: Same. My role here is done, I think. I'll let the engineers take over.
[12.11.2023 13:09:50] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: James, I look forward to conferring with you on Memphis within the coming days.
[12.11.2023 13:09:50] (\^/)Vega: James: Even aliens tried to interfere our mission, though luck was on our side.
[12.11.2023 13:10:15] ALG-R&D-3: It kind of was, wasn't it? None of us blew up and the one alien we saw left right away.
[12.11.2023 13:10:20] ALG-R&D-3: That actually was lucky.
[12.11.2023 13:10:41] ALG-R&D-3: A fine start to a big project.
[12.11.2023 13:10:45] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: When you're on the good side, sometimes the stars themselves will wobble just a bit to make way for you.
[12.11.2023 13:10:46] (\^/)Vega: James: Just let me to deal with buerocracy here on Carthage and I''m all yours.
[12.11.2023 13:10:50] 2023-11-12 13:10:52 SMT  Traffic control alert: (\^/)Phaenon has docked
[12.11.2023 13:11:00] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: I will see all of you fairly soon.
[12.11.2023 13:11:10] ALG-Arbeiter: Alright.
[12.11.2023 13:11:13] ALG-R&D-Cirrus: SG: It was a pleasure for all of us here aboard the Cirrus.
[12.11.2023 13:11:15] ALG-R&D-3: Yeah. Time for some drinks.
[12.11.2023 13:11:22] ALG-Arbeiter: Guess, uh. Suppose you won't need a heavy lifter now?
[12.11.2023 13:11:27] (\^/)Vega: James: See you out there in the bar, I hope!

The Vega is now fully secured on Fort Carthage. So we have the room to plan everything out without the rush. Reactor slowly decreases the temperatures, so, I believe, in the next weeks we would be able to dismantle the hull panels around the reactor to start off the deconstruction process.
