Our departure for the Texas System was interrupted by the unexpected return of a reconnaissance drone we had dispatched earlier. The drone had transmitted information about another wreck in the Kansas System, Fort Riley, which piqued our interest due to the potential presence of 'Military Grade' sensor logs.

Upon reaching Fort Riley, we encountered the Liberty Dreadnaught LNS Lake Michigan. While the captain was initially cordial, he firmly denied our request to board the wrecks in the area. However, he suggested we investigate the Vespucci Jump Hole, which leads to the former capital system of the Insurgency.

The captain's suggestion was intriguing, as it raised the possibility of obtaining valuable data from the damaged vessels in Vespucci. While I had initially deemed Vespucci too risky to enter due to the destabilization of the Jump Hole network, the Cartographer's jump drive now made the prospect of a successful expedition more feasible

Crew Status:

The crew remains in good health and spirits, with the exception of Engineering Crew Leader Flynn Davis. Davis suffered an unfortunate accident during his duty shift, resulting in a fractured leg. He will be unable to resume full duties for several weeks. Despite this setback, the crew remains focused on the mission and is adapting to the temporary absence of their Engineering Crew Leader. They are confident in their ability to overcome this challenge and continue their investigations.
