I acknowledge your concerns. what I wanted to promote on the economic section of the laws is healthy competition between the corsairs for relics. I took great care with the words to make sure they show the readers that undercutting or simply ignoring the corsair economy for personal gain (as a corsair) isn't the right thing to do. Any corsair can mine xeno relics and I directly incentivize corsairs in game to distribute them and mine them, given that their trade isn't detrimental to any other corsair parties.
we've had multiple players (POB owners + their friends/suppliers) powergaming their way to supply their pobs for free using corsair characters, completely bypassing the entirety of our economy and lore. It isn't right. We have several stations to supply and it costs money. Relics are a huge portion of the corsair economy and players, bypassing this harms all corsairs. I believe you'll agree with me.
I can get behind this approach, do not get me wrong, so long as it is actually upheld in game. I did point out a specific case that looks poorly out of context - context, I do not deny, may be not known to me but known within the faction; it still made me, and perhaps, a few others raise an eyebrow. As you clearly must be aware, engaging your own ID takes solid reasoning and I can remember only two cases of this happening over almost seven years I am playing Discovery. However, if your faction manages to confirm XR are taken to a base far, far away hostile to Corsairs for some god forsaken reason without prior roleplay establishing it as valid contractor or a base outright hostile - then I will consent the concern is valid and justified.
Tracking a cloaking Corsair IFF freighter that does not wish to speak of his business is neither of it. It is suspicious but speaks too little to toss around threats of "execution without trial".
What concerns me here is that interpretation of "detrimental" act is left to decision making of a large, likeminded group of players who is much more likely to reach consensus whilst not being the only representative to the Corsair faction. A gesture of good faith would be to pick an active member of each other Corsair faction and permit them to partake in the decision making so long as it doesn't take unreasonably long of them to react to each issue.
However, my main concern still remains that Corsair monopoly might eventually turn into DTR monopoly, which I hope to not see happening but unfortunately, do not see as completely impossible. First is fine, the second is guaranteed to be frowned upon.
And, as Couden pointed out, Artifacts are the main source of Corsair income, as it have always been, Xeno Relics are a commodity introduced on Discovery(correct me if I'm wrong) that have not even existed in Vanilla, and the search for xeno relics returns earliest results as far back as 2016.
But I digress. Half of this probably belongs in a faction feedback thread, even. On the subject of this feedback thread - it is not horribly formatted and seems generally sensible, as I pointed out earlier - it's all matter of practical application now.
