//BEGINNING AUDIO PLAYBACK//

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity, a relentless pursuit of answers amidst the chaos that the Pulse has wrought upon the galaxy. We've ventured into two systems, Kansas and Vespucci, each with its own unique story to tell.

In Kansas, we encountered scattered remnants of once-thriving stations, now reduced to ghost towns, their inhabitants either slain or driven away by the sudden disruption of the Jump Hole Network. The sight of these deserted settlements was a stark reminder of the Pulse's devastating impact, a chilling glimpse into the fragility of human civilization.

Vespucci, on the other hand, presented us with a different kind of challenge. As we entered the system, we were met with a scene of utter carnage, a cosmic graveyard of wrecked vessels and the lifeless remains of Planet Veracruz, once a vibrant hub of human activity, now reduced to a desolate wasteland. The evidence was undeniable: the Liberty Navy had unleashed a merciless bombardment, leaving no survivors.

Amidst this grim spectacle, we made a significant breakthrough. We located and reactivated an Aurora monitoring array near a Baxter Object, a mysterious celestial body that had been the subject of much speculation. This array provided us with the first verifiable and precise timestamp of the Pulse's occurrence in the Vespucci System – five microseconds after detecting a nonstandard emission from the Baxter Object.

This discovery was a turning point in our investigation. It established a direct link between the Baxter Object and the Pulse, suggesting that the mysterious celestial body may have been the source of the energy surge that disrupted the Jump Gate Network. This revelation has opened up a whole new avenue of research, one that could lead us to the heart of the Pulse phenomenon.

But as we delve deeper into this mystery, I can't shake off the feeling of isolation. The Pulse has cut us off from the Colony, leaving us stranded in these regions, surrounded by the wreckage of the Pulse's destruction. The data we collect, the discoveries we make, they all feel like steps forward in the abstract, but each step forward feels like a step farther from Sean. I yearn for the warmth of his presence, the sound of his laughter, the touch of his hand. I miss our shared dreams of the future, the plans we made for our life together. The Pulse has not only disrupted the galaxy; it has disrupted our lives, tearing us apart and leaving me lost in a sea of stars.

Yet, I will not give in to despair. I will continue to search for answers, to unravel the mysteries of the Pulse, to find a way to restore the Jump Gate Network and reunite with Sean. I will not rest until I am back in his arms, until we can rebuild our dreams together.
