From: Lieutenant Colonel Rishin To: Revenant Command Subject:Engagements with the Nomads

After witnessing some strange behavior from a massive Nomad form, a smaller Nomad form, about the size of a battlecruiser, showed up and chased my damaged vessel from her post in Zeta. I bee lined to Mu at full speed and requested assistance, the reply I got informed me of a long ETA. In the meantime, my crew was able to do some outstanding repair work in the heat of the situation, and got the ship back to about 100% working order. With that, we initiated a fight with the Nomad form.
The power balance shifted between us multiple times but, without any vessels to support the battleship Zisa, the Nomad was allowed to dictate the terms of engagement in this battle. We did what we could to hold it off, but eventually it had us on the run, and a Nomad beam of energy disabled the Zisa’s reactor core. The reactor blew out a section of the ship, leaving it a drifting hulk. The damage I already inflicted was enough to get the Nomad form to withdraw, at least, given the additional Order forces that were en route.
A search and rescue crew didn’t take long to arrive, along with a couple heavy lifters to tow the Zisa back to Carthage to replace the ship’s reactor core module. The blow out panels on the reactor section of the hull did their job at venting the blast, and damage analysis revealed that only the adjacent bulkheads suffered minor damage from the blast. Some additional sections of the hull will require minor repairs to the armor plating.

A massive Nomad form, about dreadnought sized, came undetected into the Mu system. Captain Ein and myself were on our way to Zeta for a routine combat patrol. The Nomad dreadnought uncloaked as I was about to enter the Orillion Asteroid field, and immediately I signaled red alert to my crew. Ein was farther ahead and had to circle back around, so I led the Nomad form on a short chase while dodging its homing weapons before engaging it alone.
Its first shield cycle was knocked out quickly, and I scored multiple direct hits with the Zisa's heavy artillery before it recycled its shields to full strength again. This was around when Ein entered the scene and started to assist with primary weapons fire. I got in close to the Nomad form, trying to throw its weapons targeting off and hold its attention. This worked to a degree, I was able to find some temporary blind spots and reduce incoming damage. The battle continued like this for a while until finally the Nomad couldn’t hold itself together anymore.
Amidst some of the Nomad debris I found some heavy ordnance that I could only describe as some form of Nomad battleship torpedoes and missiles. I have delivered them to the lab to be studied, and moored my ship at Carthage for repairs to the armor plating.
