I'm honestly kind of impressed that balance somehow made winning in a one-sided stomp in cap pvp feel just as monotonous and tedious as losing. It's really balanced, I guess. Same with the two base sieges I've been in, god awful experience. I fly a snub around sometimes, but it's either die in literally 50 seconds to BDM usually, gg btw, or sit and watch 5 Gebs and 2 nephies chase my lone HF until I get bored and log off.
It's also seriously feeling like just a huge dick move to keep asking my guys to log into this when there is nothing remotely enjoyable to do. Forum RP has been fine, been a while since I was able to engage in some creative writing. That's it. And forum RP doesn't get you tracker hours.
And finally, at the peak of it all, with the butchering of OF perks, there's no incentive for indies to let themselves be recruited. There is no roleplay standards for indies, you can do whatever you want, so joining an OF is actually a detriment to you if you don't feel like putting effort into roleplay. There isn't really anything an official faction can provide that an indie couldn't get out of DMing his friends to all log the same ID.
Oh brother, don't get me started on this. I looked like a Jackass when I told 1st guys 6 times "Let's go try encounters", scheduled events, and then they never worked out. We are back to 8 people off peak and sub 40 peak time. The thing is who do you talk to? Who cares? They made the all-at-once changes so complex they will need to spend maybe the entire year just fixing the existing mechanics they envisioned, yet alone tuning the game towards player needs.
