Another dead end today. Spent hours sifting through Starlight's data logs, hoping for a clue, a whisper, anything from Sailas about the Colony. But it's like they vanished into thin air. The research, the equipment, even half the damn station – gone. Sold off, dismantled, erased. It's enough to make you wonder if the Colony was ever real, if Sean and I didn't just dream it all up in some oxygen-starved delirium.

Starting Starlight back up was supposed to be our answer. Brick by salvaged brick, I rebuilt this research hub, hoping its familiar walls would spark some hidden memory, some forgotten code, anything to get us a step closer. But instead, I only dug up more questions. Where's Sailas? Who orchestrated this gutting of Starlight? And how is it helping us find our way back?

Then there's this "son" of his who crawls out of the woodwork. No proof, no trail, just a voice in the static promising answers if I join his hunt for the old man. It's tempting, the lure of closure, of understanding why everything fell apart. But Sean... He needs me to look forward, not back. He needs that jump drive, that bridge we barely glimpsed through the static.

Maybe I'm being stubborn. Maybe finding Sailas is the key, the missing piece of the puzzle. But I can't shake the feeling it's a detour, a rabbit hole that'll only lead us further from the Colony. Every day I spend here, every fruitless search, is another day Sean and I are adrift. Every whisper of the Pulse, every crackle of static in the comms feels like another heartbeat slipping away.

I need a win, something concrete, something to show for this endless digging. A lead, a theory, anything. Because staring at these blank screens, drowning in Starlight's ashes, is doing nothing but pushing me closer to the edge. Sean, this one's for you. Hold on tight, love. We'll find our way back, I promise. Just... give me one damn clue.
