//BEGINNING AUDIO PLAYBACK//

Originally a rec hall deemed too noisy for sleeping quarters, the Alehouse was converted into a bar by a resourceful crew member named "Lucky" Lewis during the ship's early days. Lewis, known for his tinkering skills and love of a good brew, salvaged scrap metal and repurposed old equipment to create a makeshift bar. The Alehouse quickly became a haven for the crew, offering a place to unwind, share stories, and forge friendships amidst the vastness of space.

The Alehouse is a chaotic yet warm haven. Exposed pipes and metal beams crisscross the ceiling, remnants of its former life. Fairy lights strung across salvaged wires cast a warm glow, illuminating mismatched furniture and salvaged decorations. Personal touches abound: crew photos adorn the walls, trophies from past expeditions gather dust on shelves, and a stuffed alien head (affectionately named "Marvin") hangs above the bar, a souvenir from a particularly strange encounter. The din of conversation mingles with the low hum of the ship's engines and the occasional rumble from the flight deck above, creating a unique soundscape that feels like the heartbeat of the Cartographer.

The Alehouse welcomes all. Crew members of all ranks, from seasoned veterans to wide-eyed rookies, mingle with researchers, engineers, and even the occasional alien visitor. The ships three-shift system ensures a constant stream of patrons, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie that transcends differences in background and expertise.

[+]BAR RUMORS
[+]Lucky Lewis Secret Recipe
Legend has it that Lewis' original ale recipe, brewed with space-adapted hops and a dash of "unidentified alien essence," is still used today. The exact recipe is a closely guarded secret, passed down from bartender to bartender.
[+]The Ghost of Marvin
Marvin, the stuffed alien head, is rumored to be haunted by the spirit of its former owner, a friendly alien who perished during a survey mission. Some claim to hear faint whispers or see Marvin's eyes glow in the dark, though skeptics attribute it to overactive imaginations and potent space-brews.
[+]The Cartographers Wall of Fame
A section of the wall is dedicated to the ship's achievements and discoveries. Photos, maps, and artifacts from past expeditions are displayed, serving as a reminder of the Cartographer's ongoing mission and the crew's shared journey.
[+]The Intergalactic Games
Every few months, the Alehouse hosts "The Intergalactic Games," a friendly competition featuring games, challenges, and trivia based on spacefaring lore and the ship's own history. The winning team earns bragging rights and a special concoction invented by the bartender.
[+]The First Keg
Legend says the first keg was salvaged from a derelict freighter, its origins a mystery. Some believe it holds a forgotten alien recipe, while others swear it grants prophetic dreams to those who drink deep.
[+]The Stargazers Mug
A battered mug engraved with constellations is passed to the crew member who has made the most significant discovery during their shift. It's considered an honor and a responsibility, fueling friendly competition and a shared sense of purpose.
[+]The Alien Inscription
Etched into the underside of the bartop is a strange inscription in an unknown language. Theories abound about its origin and meaning, ranging from a message from a long-lost civilization to a drunken scribble by a particularly adventurous crew member.
[+]The Space Slug Races
Every Friday night, the bar hosts slug races using bioluminescent space slugs bred specially for the occasion. Betting is fierce, and the winning slug's mucus is said to be an aphrodisiac (though its actual effects are questionable)
[+]Karaoke Calamity
The Alehouse boasts a surprisingly advanced karaoke machine, salvaged from a derelict space station. However, its malfunctioning AI tends to mangle lyrics and create hilarious (and sometimes embarrassing) results.
[+]Talking Trash Can
One seemingly ordinary trash can occasionally spouts cryptic pronouncements or witty insults. Whether it's possessed by an alien entity or just a prank by a tech-savvy crew member remains a mystery.
