The Cartographer's 220-strong crew maintains a steady rhythm aboard their vessel. Divided into three traditional watches - Foremast, Mainmast, and Mizzen - they adhere to a six-hour, four-watch system. Junior crew members hone their skills during the 0800-1200 shifts, mentored by experienced officers. The second officer, the ship's navigator, utilizes the 1600-2000 watch to capture vital star sights, while the Chief Mate, our Executive Officer, leads the 0400-0800 watch with four deck officers. This allows them to oversee pre-day work assignments and ensure smooth operations. This meticulous watch system, steeped in tradition and practicality, ensures the Cartographer's unwavering course through the vast expanse of space.

[+]CREW RUMORS
[+]The Coffee Conundrum
During the shift changes, there's an unspoken competition between watches to leave the freshest pot of space-coffee for the incoming crew. Elaborate brewing techniques and secret blends abound.
[+]Foremast Fortune Teller
A crew member on the Foremast watch claims to predict the next mission's findings based on the constellations visible during their shift. Skeptics abound, but some swear by their premonitions.
[+]Singing Helmsman
The helmsman on the 8-12 shift has a peculiar habit of singing old sea shanties while steering. While some find it annoying, others swear it brings good luck and calms the ship during turbulent jumps.
[+]Mismatched Sock Ritual
As a lighthearted prank, crew members from different watches leave mismatched socks in each other's bunks during shift changes. It's a harmless way to break the ice and welcome newcomers.
[+]Ghosts of the Mizzen Mast
Some swear they've seen ghostly figures roaming the decks during the late-night Mizzen watch, whispering secrets of past voyages. Is it just sleep deprivation, or something more?
[+]Captains Curse
Legend has it the Captain once spilled a cup of space-coffee on the bridge during a particularly stressful Mainmast watch. Now, whenever someone spills during that same watch, the ship's instruments mysteriously malfunction.
[+]The Time Traveler
A persistent rumor claims a crew member accidentally slipped through a temporal anomaly and is now reliving the same shift over and over.
[+]Midnight Mug
Legend has it that the Captain secretly leaves a steaming mug of their favorite space-brew in the galley at midnight for whoever is on watch. Finding it is considered a rare honor and a chance to share a quiet moment with the Captain, even if only in spirit.
[+]Snooze Button Specialist
Each watch has its own designated "Snooze Button Specialist" tasked with rousing sleepy crew members for their shifts. This role often comes with good-natured teasing and creative alarm methods.
[+]Zero-G Prankster
Someone regularly uses the zero-g lounge for elaborate, gravity-defying pranks, leaving the next shift to clean up the mess.
