Three years ago, the geopolitical situation was largely different - we were in the final stages of the siege of Veracruz, and the Congress had all the incentive and political good will from the people to make sure the Insurgency has no safe harbor they could rebuild from en masse. You may not like when I say this- but the evidence of Insurgency presence on Erie gave them the power to act. We also didn't have the large exploratory push of the newly opened frontier I can't get into the details about that we have now.

There was a short time in Kansas where the Insurgency and Auxesia aided by Coalition and a handful of Zoner Warships have tried to set root in Kansas, but besides us who successfully repelled their attempts, the general apathy towards action is so strong that the Primary Fleets have begun to actively discourage their own forces from seeing action. They have since scaled down their operations considerably, and the incentive to keep tensions high have subsided- three years is a long time to make sure the potential Insurgent cells on Erie have been neutralized.

It will be the Primary Fleets the Government and Congress itself that need to get on board - perhaps we can initiate the contact on our side, and you can confide with fellow Zoners this time to make sure the time is right before direct negotiations begin?
