Back to business for the Briesen Facility

Order restored in Omega 7: Silver is one of Omega-7’s most valuable exports. While conflict over the metal is nothing new, in recent days production has ground to a near standstill as tempers flare and violence becomes the preferred method for settling disagreements. A number of factors have come together to throttle ore production, causing warehouses to run bare, and prices of refined Silver to soar.

With the increased demand for the precious ore, Kruger, Daumann and the Independent Miners Guild doubled down on their mining and refining operations in Omega 7. Both the Guild and the Rheinland corporations have been suspected of sabotaging their competitors. IMG claims Krüger has been attacking their members for "betraying the company", while Kruger claims IMG is responsible for sabotaging their automated miners. Daumann also has been suspiciously quiet while there have been sightseeings of mercenaries entering and leaving the Briesen Mining Facility.

With chaos unfolding, the Rheinland Military and the Marinenachrichtendienst sent reinforcements to Elbe Border Fortress to lessen the tensions between all 3 flexing factions. It turned out they were not the only ones being active in the system, as a large Coalition fleet tried to profit themselves from the situation. Not expecting such a large force in the area, the Military received minor setbacks and rallied around the Elbe Fortress. Not long after, Vizeadmiral Gunter Kunrad mobilized it's entire West Flotte to repel these invaders. With it's experience fighting in the gas clouds, the Rheinland Military proved too much for the disarrayed Coalition fleet. Despite their resistance, their ships got picked out and destroyed one by one over multiple days until their remaining forces had no other choice but to retreat. Corsair forces were also seen scouting the system, but were dealt with swiftly.

With all these events going on, Großadmiral Alfred Henze stepped in as well, forcing all mining factions to the table. Both Kruger and Daumann got a formal warning for their treatment of their workers and competitors and IMG signed a treaty to leave the Rheinland corporations alone in the Omegas. Not long after stability returned, even seeing combinations of the former hotheads mining together in the same area. With order returned to Omega 7, most Rheinland forces returned to their former duties, leaving Elbe Border Fortress as a beacon of stability inside the system.

Similar chaos erupted in Omega 3, with the Bretonian Navy being remarkably absent. Sensing this weakness, piracy ran rampant in the system. With BMM left to their own devices, the corporation has taken another heavy blow after their already lost business in Dublin.
