Greetings, Samura Leadership.
After the recent success of shipments to Xuanming Trade Center, we have once again focused on mining valuable resources around the Kusari region. Platinum Ore has been one such resource that many have taken interest in as of late, and I have moved our relevent mining equipment to the Gallileo region to assist in this endavour.
It is noted, however, that recent shipping and mining operations have attracted attention from unlawful entities. The primary one encountered in recent operations is the Blood Dragons, one of which has been a thorn in the side of Kusari for an enternity. The Kiroshima Maru encountered one of their smaller capital ships whilst operating in Shikoku, and this led to heavy damage to the vessel until the random was eventually paid and allowed to continue on it's journey. This severely impacted profits of the assigned shipment and the time taken to deliver.
I was operating on a Hegemon Asteroid Miner class vessel and encountered yet alone Blood Dragon craft, this time a smaller vessel which was identified by our scanners to be armed with torpedos, likely a Bomber-type vessel. It stalled the tradelanes to force us to submit, although this vessel did not request a ransom and instead was determined to destroy the mining ship. Once fired upon, I ordered all available turrets to return fire and a small battle ensued. I was able to escape after taking damage but inflicting damage to the bomber, and escaped successfully with my crew. I was later advised by Naval Forces that the ship was destroyed, partially due to the damage we had inflicted. I advise all Samura vessels to remain vigilant of the Blood Dragon threat.
