"It'll take us awhile to unload all that wine, Sir," stated the loadmaster, "so if you want to visit the bar or something, we'll let you know when we're done."
Doc just nodded and simply answered, "Let me know."
He was tired. His latest trip involved him travelling to Gallia both to clear his head and find medical grade goods. The economy was different and his star charts changed that it took longer than expected. Wine was a nice treat and the loadmaster had 3,600 units to unload. Hawaii would do well with it all in stock.
A very tired Doc headed for the main restaurant and requested a corner seat by a window so that he could watch the front door. Sigma 19 could be a dangerous play but overlooking Planet Hiram made him relax a bit. Two men, Hogosha he suspected, were at a table at the other end of the room. While he had no issues with them, they warranted keeping an eye on. Doc placed his hat on the booth next to him, out of site.
"May I get you something, Sir?" asked the waiter.
"Yes, Scotch and um..." He paused as he looked at the menu. "Mahi fish, please."
The waiter left only to return a minute later with his Scotch. Doc sipped it and let the nectars saturate his tongue as he closed his eyes to enjoy it for a few seconds before opening them again. Knowing his meal would be awhile, he pulled out some playing cards and started a game of Solitaire. To those around him, they wouldn't know that he was upset about something.
