Daumann positions itself in Omega-11

New Berlin, 19.04.834 Although known as the great ship-building company of Rheinland, Daumann Heavy Construction is now diversifying its business. For the past years, several reporters on the field, as well as internal sources that we will not mention, have shared that Daumann had increased its activity around Omega-11. Solarius Station, owned by the company, is almost always working at full capacity, with ships taking off and coming back and forth from the mining fields in the system, full of uncut diamonds. Even if the system is as perillous as it gets, Daumann profits from its reputation in heavy ship construction for the harsh conditions, and a security detail that has reinforced its position in the Omegas, to protect both miners and transports. In a press release today, the Betriebsleiter of Daumann, Rupert Gehrig, left no place for misunderstanding, stating that: "diamond trading is, as of today, one of the priorities [of Daumann] in the system", and that: "we will not allow any actor, corporate, criminal or otherwise, to endanger our operation in [Omega-11]." Our economy analyst, Willhelm Gerthart, finds that such claims by Daumann are long overdue. "It had been quite some time since this company was looking at other sources of income. Diamond trading is not only profitable for the company, it is also of primary importance for its own heavy construction business, as this commodity is required for the machinery it makes use of."
