Hello, leader of NDI| here, sub-faction of the IMG. Yesterday one of your guys, {DHC}Basel, got on to try and pirate one of my guys in Omega-7 which is all good of course. Unfortunately, after issuing their demand to leave, they did not wait the required 10 seconds to start shooting. I have to imagine they didn't like getting caught out by additional NDI| players moving to assist, but sadly that doesn't make it alright. I provide a video of the encounter, taken by the member that was stopped in the first place.

As long as this sort of thing doesn't happen all the time then it's fine, no big deal. We probably would have just counter-pirated and escorted him out the system if he'd kept it cool as well.

Hey, thank you for your feedback, i have watched the video you provided 3 times and come to the following conclusion:

From the get go, it is clear that you and your friends are looking for a fight with our pilot, which is perfectly fine.

{DHC}Basel issued you a demand to leave the system at 1:28 in the video.

The person in the video started typing up a response....

{DHC}Basel fired a pulse shot at their shield, doing negligeble damage at 1:42-1:43 in the video.

Now, as a corporation we do try to keep on top of our numbers, and i believe that makes 14-15 seconds in total between the issued demand and the first shot fired.... If you disagree with my understanding of your video evidence, please do provide any additional evidence.

It does seem from video evidence that NDI|Hesper engaged without adequate notice at 1:57, i fail to see more than 1 in-chat message from your fellow pilot prior to him opening fire on {DHC}Basel.

It also appears that the Grendel in question also did not drop more then 1 line prior to engagement. Granted it is understandable that the defending party is time pressed to respond to combat ingame.

We do think that our pilots should uphold a higher roleplay standard than what was shown, and we will advise our pilots to take greater care in providing more roleplay before engaging. Whilst the minimum requirement was met, we wish to try meet a higher standard where possible.
