I'm not obliged to give you a fight. Counter point; it is perfectly inRP to stay safe and avoid said encounters. As for Delta, the fight happened around Durban - you were not spawn camped, you simply undocked at the wrong place at the wrong time. But I think you knew that already. )


No, so, let me put this in simple terms for you to understand. And I'll keep it short-ish Concise.

Aegis has a running problem of stacking all of the pvp aces on the server on one side and then usually logging in numbers that are vast, that regular joe players simply cannot do anything about it. Because majority of the aces are on their side.

How are you going to guarantee that you have people to log against at the end of the day if you are making the game unenjoyable for them? What are you actually going to do with Officialdom? What makes it necessary to go for it? And what will you do if there are no opponents for you to play against?

I have not witnessed Aegis trying to promote organic activity to encourage people to log. You can make pre-arranged stuff all you want but the game needs natural activities more so than obscure one-off events. But since this is a pvp focused faction and that it's about ingame activities, it isn't fun to fight against impossible odds - you're not motivating people to go against you by stacking up aces, nor is it particularly entertaining to have people chase you down across the game to say "Look, a Bounty, badda-bing badda-boom".

It's hard enough to deal with aces but when there's an entire horde of them, well what's the point in logging in the first place? Why harass and attack players on Discord for daring to bring more numbers to even out the skill set out in the field? It isn't just numbers and classes but also skill sets that can dictate fights and how fun it is.

If players in a lower skill set keep getting curbstomped without even a grain of a chance to do any sort of progress in the fight, of course people are going to get demoralised and disinterested. It isn't fun if it's overkill. Tbh I can't say I've even seen people who log to go after Aegis. It's usually the other way around. The Hunters also get hunted in lore too. -- Yes, fighting is a part of the game universe. But also people play the game to have fun.

And let's twist the perspective, if pure powertrading/pve factions with minimal rp cannot go official, why shouldn't the same be for those who solely focus only on pvping? In regards to the Military factions like the Navy, they do a lot of effort to make the game and RP environment interesting, they add nuance, structure, political degrees, tensions and brawls tend to be mixed and thus fun because you have a chance to partake. They have characters you can understand and relate to. Something you can add on to, react to, make a narrative out of it, and you're not required to be an expert in it either. And sometimes, they have limitations, where they may be forced to work around it to make things even more interesting.

My interpretation of Aegis has been from personal experience and watching others RP streams and hearing other peoples experiences. I was obviously a target of harassment from Aegis in the past, which obviously impacts a lot of view (like engaging outside of house capital space, even as going as far shooting lawfuls just to get to me?). Thankfully it did stop. But I'm gathering from these insightful posts that the whole grudge thing never stopped. Not particularly interesting to me, I still have no motive nor interest in bumping into the faction, so not my problem.

Of course, I have recently received harassment from your members which is obviously adding even more distaste for me, but for now I think I'll keep this disclosed to see if they simmer down. Maybe they won't. Who knows.

Now there's more to Bounty Hunter RP than just existing to solely pvp with little depth tho, it feels incredibly soul-less and I haven't seen any particular personalities within the faction, can't even say that there's a particular character that even stands out from the group. I can't name a single person. It gives a lot of a vibe of copypasted "Me Hunter, Me Kill. " - I have never seen an Aegis even permit for a pictosecond to allow people to talk before they start blasting. Right now, Aegis is just a group of fighters. Not a group of characters.

Bear in mind though I see people complain ''Aegis comes online time to die I guess'' - Bounty Hunters are supposed to be competent, if we weren't there'd be no reason to play bounty hunters as we wouldn't have a single pay out. It's the nature of the faction.

So, yes, it is effectively an /1 /2 faction as simplistic the tag is. Unless you can give insight on how you can promote activities for other players and actually encourage a healthy competition for your opposition. Let people have a chance to even do a dent. Or even talk. You want to motivate people to play and be able to do something interesting rather than be another quick and easy blue.

Don't stomp people into the ground. If you're not doing this anymore, great! I'll be happy to see it ingame. But you really should really try looking into adding more to the BHG dynamic and add an incentive for people to interact. Make motives for people to look out for others.

For example, if I wanted to run a BHG faction, I would have probably two roles. Trackers, just like in Vanilla, who will sniff out targets. Get information, bribe people, set up networking. A wild idea, setting up a 'Criminal Investigation Tip Off', where people can bribe or rat out another criminal, or snitch on someone. Or having someone as a stool pigeon. Honeypotting. Encourage interaction in the grey world. Luring targets with a decoy transport; Hiring a corporate with a matrix onboard to jebait pirates. Etc. Then have another half as the Hunters who can go after targets. There's nothing necessarily wrong with PVP, it's just doing it tastefully without it rubbing off as a... 'lol get owned scrub' vibe... Feel like I don't need to describe that vibe.
