My name is Jacob Mason, head of the small exploration group thats set up our home in the Freeport here. My group and I are freelance explorers who seek out the interesting reaches of the sector and chart what is to be found out there, and warn of any dangers like dying stars or new navigation hazards.
I assure you Sir, we are not out here to cause harm to anyone, merely to provide navigation and refueling assistance to those entering the less explored reaches. Our operation isnt sponsored by any large house funding foundation or anything of the sort. On the contrary, we haven't much interest in already well charted space.
You may ask why we chose such a location, and I shall answer ahead, rumors persist of a jump anomaly that leads to completely unknown space here, and that new unstable anomaly that directs to the Omegas. We came to chase these rumors and see if whats on the other side is a danger to us all or not.
I ask that you forgive our perceived tresspass, as there seemed to be nothing around when we first arrived barring decaying, years old wrecks and derelict facilities. The only thing of note we found on arrival was a luxury liner, staring very intently at a barren moon.
If there is anything more you require or wish to know about, do inquire! I shall respond as quickly as possible.
Regards,
Jacob Mason, Head of Exploration

Naturally, I am inclined towards skepticism as to how simplistic their intent in Vespucci is. So I will accordingly order my Adjutant handling the matter to propose harsh terms. Things such as no entry to Technocrats or self-styled Legionnaires, but also mandatory open access to our ships.
While I have the line open, are there any other terms you would like us to include?
"Liberty or death."
