Kind of funny. This loft has huge windows, but the view is just a big metallic wall of the building next to this one. One would think the planet has enough free space to build things not this close to another. But then again, this planet has a history of bombardements and conflict. Who knows why they built these houses this close to another. This used to be a warehouse, after all.

Kind of funny, how I ended up here. I asked the male nurse for Synth Paste instead of the hospital food, simply because I would not be able to get it down. He first said that he has no time for special treatment as the hospital is currently overburdened with refugees from the Omicrons.

Without eating anything, I later walked up on the rooftop and just sat there, enjoying the fresh air. Quite cold, though. Probably because I did not eat anything. At least I got to put on my suit again, because I surely did not walk around in a gown with exposed bum! The guy joined me later, smoking a cigarette. We got to talk. His name is Daniel. He apologized for possibly having sounded rude, but I told him it is fine. I explained to him that I only ever live on WaSPs. He said he cannot relate at all and asked me if I ever eat something for joy. I said no.


He said they will likely release me in the afternoon, as they need every bed they can get. Told him I will need to find hotel or something. He then offered I can stay at his place for cheaper. And this is how I ended up here. Daniel and his girlfriend want to save money to leave the planet, and the other people here do not mind extra cash either.

One of them went out to get me Synth Paste and Synth Gel. I gave them a good tip. One of the girls here, I think her name is Joanna or something, everyone calls her Jo, has shown interest in me, but I really do not feel ready for any kind of physical activity. I have this compressing band around my torso. Makes breathing a bit harder, but they say it helps me heal up faster. Apparently I was actually cut open. They removed bone fragments, used nanoglue to fix the fracture and then sealed everything up. They say it will not leave another scar, but I honestly do not care at this point anymore. My tattoos cover most of them, anyway.

Joanna gave me a holotainment band. It is a rather extensive virtual reality setting in a big city, where you can do all kinds of missions and fight people with guns and swords and what not. Pretty fun. I should probably get some holotainment bands for home. Monique would definitely like them, and, uhm, I heard there are some rather lewd ones, too. This one is already pretty, uhm, realistic in some aspects. I wonder how this technology works, really. I know there are hypnotainment bands that make everything feel real.
