This comm is going out assuming that another unfortunate command change hasn't been made. However, given Hewitt's testimony I'm hoping you kept to the Freeport, especially considering the state of the Juneau when you arrived.

I'm sure you remember who I am, given Eclipse and I were practically the ones calling the shots after Budget Bitch fled the scene. From what I hear, a lot of the people that went out on that op never made it past Magellan, for which you have my condolences at least. Still, hearing the Juneau showed up on our doorstep was probably the last thing I expected to hear, and hearing some of the original crew were still around was even more unexpected. Quite welcome, but unexpected nonetheless.

To that end, I'd like to know where you and your crew stand. I know the ol' Star Captain gave the run down on where the movement is at the moment, and capable people are in relatively short supply. On top of the Juneau just being space-worthy, I'd be very interested in knowing exactly how many of your originals are still left. Since you've yet to make contact, I figure there's no harm in extending the handshake myself, as a known face amongst the old.
