Report as follows:
The Kaiser has repositioned to Hammersee orbit to shield operations within the system. This has become a necessity due to a spike in GMG attacks. One such attack occurred as of this latest report, a small raiding force consisting of a gunboat, the "Niigata.Maru", and a bomber, operating under the ID of one "Keiji'Namura". They claimed Rheinland ships, operating in our sovereign space, were trespassing. After refusing to comply with demands to withdraw we engaged them. The Kaiser with the assistance of Kruger security forces and a BDM U-Boat patrol drove off the raiders successfully. The enemy fled into the Nordsee Cloud and were not sighted after the engagement. It should also be noted Bundschuh ships were spotted observing this action, although they did not intervene on either side.
In addition to combat operations we have concluded a survey and found the following installations within the system, although reportedly many are due to be towed. These are as follows:
1. Redline Depot E - A base administrated by a Freelance group, operating in grid C5, closer to Hammersee than safety permits allow.
2. Breuninger Depot - The primary Kruger mining base in system, located in grid D5. Apparently due to be towed to a more practical position.
3. Swift's Mining Co. 1 - A large Daumann mining base, although traffic is very light for it. Located in grid square E7.
4. Nordsee Refinery - This is a GMG installation in the system. We have been monitoring it for traffic from GMG raiders, but so far we have not detected much other than normal cargo vessels. It is known Kishiro ships helped in the construction. The current location is grid square D4.
5. Miningfactory Neuss - Another Kruger mining installation, this one also seems to see less use than the others. Possibility of abandonment, the location within the Scharhornfeld is dangerous. Grid square F6.
Further notes on activity in the system: Some vessels have wandered into our fleet training zone despite the placement of nav beacons indicating the danger of doing so. Approval of the proposed "Festung Grauerort" has not passed the Ministry of the Interior, and our engineering units are awaiting approval to begin construction. Investigation of possible staging areas in the Nordsee Cloud used by GMG forces should be done. On a final note, the troops in the field greatly appreciate the loosening of our ROE on GMG vessels.
Für den Kaiser! Für das Volk! Für Rheinland!
Hochachtungsvoll,
Karl Holzner
