Salutations. This is Pathfinder-1, Dante Flintlocke, reporting.

I apologize in advance for the duplicate reports. As a Pathfinder, I feel that this is something that needs to be reported ASAP.

After upgrading my star-chart of Copernicus and heading through Liberty, I decided I would take an alternate path and instead head through Ontario as my charts of that system are critically outdated as well. I will have a more comprehensive report on your desk as soon as I have compiled a detailed report of the systems. However, during my chart of the Ontario system, a planet at Bravo-2 in the system--Planet Sudbury from internal records--was exhibiting unusual readings. At first, I believed it to be a malfunction in my sensor array as it was just configured. However, preliminary scans of the planet point to a hyperspatial signal coming from the surface of the planet or just under it's crust.

Attached you will find an image from orbit of the planet. However, due to there being a number of large wrecked ships in orbit, this lead me to believe that this signal may be hazardous to human craft or that they were attacked en-route to investigate the same signals as myself. I departed the area after taking my passive scans and images and departed the system via the California route. On the way to our exit, we took a lap around Fort Ramsay under a stealth field and noted that a jump hole to Inverness appears to have opened coinciding with whatever it is on the planet becoming active. I may not be an egghead scientist like the rest of you, but the coincidence is a little on the nose here.

Attached you will find images of items of interest in Copernicus with their coordinates attached. I recommend we deploy survey vessels to these locations--pending security review--for further study and analysis.

ADDITION: On our exit from Ontario, our scanners picked up what appeared to be a Vagrant signature. The system may already be attracting an alien element.
