My idea is that LFs are not meant to do the task alone (like fighting VHFs 1vs1). They are escort ships to be used in groups. Supporting VHFs/bombers or defending capships/transports.

In that role they are great.

Okey, but then how about scimitar? Its not so hard to hit it after all. And class 8 and 9 weps are truely thing, with ones, you cant do much dmg... (of course Nuclear mine, but its dangerous to use it, then in goup fighting, becouse your commrades can jump on the one too)
