A certain emotion rose up within Hester, she hadn’t felt it in a long while. Proper rage, the kind reserved for thing and people that utterly betray you or someone close to you. The latter was what essentially seemed to have happened in this case. Especially since she also trusted Ridgenose, or at least thought that she could trust him. There never really had been a lot of people she was close with in the Alliance but somehow she had counted him towards that number. Now hearing that he had done something like this, there was a slight crack in her ability to trust. Well at least those that aren’t the person that saved her life.

“Despicable.” The word was spoken with a kind of emotion that Damien hadn’t really heard from Hester before. It wasn’t as much that she spat the word out, it was more so that it was accompanied by a low hiss that could’ve come from a snake just before it went for the bite. Her face was a mask, that displayed cracks of disappointment and hatred. “Has he been made to pay with is life yet? If not, I will gladly track him down for you, Damien. After all it’d be the least to repay the debt that I still owe you.” She rose from her seat and leaned herself onto his desk, her words carrying sincerity and commitment in them. If he gave her the word she’d probably immediately leave to carry out the task. She had failed to safe his life when he was in danger and it seemed to be a burden she was about to add to said debt.
