Sweet girl. Having talked with her in depth after the memorial, it was nice to get to know her proper, and what Hanamura and the others were like. I could tell she had that same old Alliance fire that my family's carried since we disembarked from the Liberty - especially given that ballsy idea to planetfall to New Tokyo with escape pods for a surgical strike on that Kishiro subsidiary that was apparently behind her being put on ice for 800 years. It's a dying breed it seems. Though truth be told, I'm not entirely a fan of what we're getting ourselves into tomorrow. I've been tasked by Grand Tectarch Amy West.. these fucking ranks, man.. along with a few other familiar faces to mount a boarding action against a Liberty Navy transport carrying Defender parts aboard due for Ontario. Not going to lie, I'm not exactly a fan of it, given my ROE, my ship, and my tasking. My ROE, is that I am not allowed to fire on the escorts. My Ship, is going to be one of those blasted Draugr freighters. And my tasking, is to board the fucker. But.. even if I am rusty and was at one point rated for boarding action command with the Liberty Navy -- 7 years ago , I still have a job to do - and no other Lieutenants stepped up for it. No use in bitching. The plan is we're going to strike the transport and her escorts on the way to Ontario by way of the Sierra Ice Field, we fire an overcharged cruise disruptor at the ship, killing its' propulsion and we go in for a boarding action the port side of the lower crew decks, and work our way to the bridge. Once the boarding action is complete, and hopefully the Navy's been fucked over, we can get the transport out of there and back to Inverness. .. If I make it out of this, I'm asking West for one of those Defenders. Seems like reasonable payment for something as nuts as this. But then again, at least we're not stealing a capital. Again.
