The Gryphon continues to make significant progress on our primary mission within the Inverness system, contracted by Starfliers. While this larger project remains our top priority, the ingenuity and dedication of our crew allowed us to capitalize on downtime and complete a secondary objective.
The Gryphon's Manufatorium, known for its efficiency, managed to utilize spare capacity to construct five DSSR-MK-VII (Deep Space Sensor Relay Mk VII) units ahead of schedule. These vital pieces of technology will be deployed shortly in a strategic location just outside the West Avlemore Nebula, serving Freeport 14.
The DSSR-MK-VII units are entirely self-sustaining for their expected lifespan of at least six months. However, historical records indicate their functionality can often extend well beyond three years under optimal conditions. Their primary function will be to act as an early warning system for any vessels approaching Freeport 14.
This deployment is particularly timely given the concerning intel we've received. Several groups and organizations operating within the Inverness system have reported an increased presence of House authorities. The prevailing belief is that these forces are actively searching for Zoners attempting to utilize the Inverness system as a transit route to Freeport 14.
The deployment of these DSSR-MK-VII units will provide Freeport 14 with a vital edge in situational awareness. Early warnings of approaching vessels will allow them to take necessary precautions and ensure the continued safety of those seeking refuge within its borders.
