Freelancer Ship Restrictions

Morning,
As I am new to this server, I will have questions from tim eot time to understand what seems to be endless rules.

I guess I can start with a few questions to this one subject.

1. I didnt see ship restrictions in the Rules section, so is it an actual rule or just part of the Role play? "new to the role play thing also"

2. If it is a solid Rule, why? in game and real life if you can get ahold of or afford it you can have it.

3. I had a third question but I am old and forgot it may come back to me later
