Battle report

Honorable conclave,

I am writing to report on the battle between our fleet and the Rheinland Military in the Sigma-15 system. Few days ago our patrols from Petra Base in that system have spotted the arrival of a large number of Rheinland vessels including multiple large capital vessels close to Planet Hammersee. Naturally, we had to interfere with this gathering and prepared an assault from which I just returned. In a large operation starting from Freeport 9 in Omicron Theta, we jumped directly to the Sigma-15 system thanks to the highly advanced jump drive technology installed on our flag ship the CNS>Santa-Trinidad. The CNS>Santa-Trinidad was joined by various fighter and bomber squadrons, cruisers, battleships and even three other Legate class dreadnaughts. I have to admit it was a truly impressive sight to see all these ships together! I was part of it myself in the battlecruiser CNS>Olympos with the recently constructed Novaspear weapon mounted for testing in battle.

After the successful jump to the target system, we quickly encountered the enemy fleet thanks to the excellent reports by our scouts. At the start of the battle both sides remained at some distance until we were able to separate one of their Bismarck class battleships from the rest of the fleet leading to the immediate destruction of their vessel. In the following battle our fleet maintained the upper hand at all times and was able to eliminate the vast majority of the remaining Rheinland fleet without considerable losses.

In the last minutes of the skirmish, I spotted a Rheinland cruiser, the KKS-Luebeck, that tried to escape justice and flee. However, I was able to disrupt his attempt, track him down eventually resulting in the destruction of the Rheinland cruiser. Our victorious fleet has returned to Omicron Gamma for repairs and to prepare for future glorious operations. With our great victory we have launched a blow at the Rheinland Military operations and further secured our establishment in Sigma-15.

I want to point out that the Novaspear has proven to be a highly effective weapon system, and it is therefore strongly recommended to be mounted also on other Tribunus class vessels of our fleet.
