PoBs are not really designed to be solo, but you can do it. If you take a group of 3 or 4 individuals making a base it is infact very cheap, 4 players can amass 20 million in 2-2.5 hours. You build it, you use it.
We've had the GF bases out now for about 2 month mark and i've personally made like 170million off of them, probably more like 200million. They vastly pay for themselves when you do that and if GF lost its dublin base and had to remake it again it would be a very small dent.
To put it in perspective, GF has 70 million between both of its bases on the base credit alone. If you want to try redoing a base it does not take a lot of effort with a few like minded individuals.
The only issue is again, have to ask yourself why. If you have a base in a hostile location you need the backing of someone prepared to do it as well.

Because you are just flat out wrong. I've timed mining runs for economy balancing, myself and many other miners can do a full run in 20 minutes. Ore is bought for 900k a hegemon load right now in dublin. Even if you are 50% slower than everyone else you still make 1.8mil per hour.
This doesn't help at all if you aren't allowed to dock at the bases that pay that much. And 20 min is pure fantasy, I would like to see some video evidence. You claimed as much in my Hegemon thread, but it is physically impossible.
