Honorable conclave,

I have just returned from a routine patrol mission to the Tokelau Ice Cloud in the Omicron Delta system. On my route, I noticed so strange readings originating from close to the Omicron Zeta jump hole and decided to deviate from my route and investigate. As I came closer to the origin of the anomaly in the sector E3, the ship experienced increased gravity from the surrounding large asteroids surrounding the area. Naturally, there were some Nomad and most likely infected ships around the area as well given the proximity to the Omicron Zeta jump hole, but they were no immediate threat. At closer examination of the site, the scanners showed that the small rocks floating around were rich in Iridium, which we might be able to extract and refine on one of our bases. For now, I returned to Reincarnation Outpost. However, I would strongly suggest to send out a dedicated scouting team including at least one freighter equipped with a mining array to test whether we can extract some Iridium ore from that field.
