Dr. Rhea Novak

Robotics and Cybernetic Engineering

To the attention of:

Tracey Rivers

Assistant!

To answer your question: Of course! If you wish for me to replace the vocal cords of a friend, acquaintance, rival or nemesis of yours, you just need to bring them to me and ensure they consent to the procedure! That being said, you are possibly missing out on the ability to autotune your own voice. Have you ever considered that? It appears to be quite popular upon young, let's say in the widest sense, artists! Neither talent nor training are required when a cybernetic implant guarantees an adequate balance between breathing and acoustic friction.

In fact, I can also install a jaw harp that way, for comedic relief!

However, I can, of course, relate to the lacking appeal of cybernetic alterations to the body. I myself have grown quite fond of the biological awe and wonder the human body creates. Thankfully, thanks to nanotechnology, repairing and maintaining the biological parts of the human body is quite as possible as with cybernetic parts. Should you ever feel the need to have your stem cells maintained, visit me at my workshop! An injection of nanites into the vertebral segments costs only 280300 Credits! And this doesn't even include the discount yet! Or a treatment for level six NRS-11 pain that occurs arbitrarily over the course of the following three months, including muscle spasms and temporary blindness.

As for your next assignment, I have a smaller selection of tasks available, which have a relatively low priority. This means they don't require you to pursue them right away, or not at all, but they will grant you monetary rewards, should you find yourself able to, as they say, "on the fly", complete them.

Terminate alien threats near Barrier Gate - 10000 Credits per kill

Frankly, I find myself rather concerned about the wellbeing of my assistants. Of course there are billions of humans out there, of which a good amount seek a profitable employ, however, what reputation would it grant me if it become known that I have a history of fairly unfortunate incidents that lead to the unnecessarily early demise of my valued assistants? As you are aware, your, level wise inferior co-assistant Kris appears to attract alien presences to this location, and this is quite frankly not acceptable. As a result, it is of the most imperative importance to ensure the area around the station remains secure. Another incident like the previous one could be devastating, lethal, and worse, impact the attractivity of this location to potential clients.

Deliver samples of irregular materials - 1000 Credits

Maintaining a business is always a struggle for survival. I would assume the technological level of these Technocrats in the Inverness system might not be on par with that of Ageira and Cryer, however their unlawful status in Liberty and Bretonia means they are not bound to the laws of these houses. This, in return, means they are not restricted in the materials they can use for their products, and I must admit, I find this prospect quite attractive.

Given Barrier Gate Station appears to be only caring for possibly harmful materials when it comes to security searches, I would like to ask you to consider collecting irregular materials and deliver them to my storage on Barrier Gate Station. I am willing to reward this effort with 1000 Credits per sample, with up to ten samples of a unique material type. This means, I will not pay for the eleventh sample of the same material, and so on.

Should you require a pointer as to what is considered irregular: Anything that looks alien, like for example, these artifacts that are considered illegal in house space, unknown elemental compositions, unidentified space crystals. If you are not sure about whether a material you found is irregular, please contact me with the details and I will give you more information.

10x Counterfeit Software - 15000 Credits

My sister, Leone Novak, is a resident of Ames Research Station. She has a colorful background and lost her job at her previous employer when her fist shaped hand reshaped his thalamus. This act marked her as criminal in Liberty, and the Liberty Rogues took her in, where history repeated itself and she relocated to Ames Research Station in the Kepler system. This was, however, shortly before the Dark Matter Storm engulfed the station, rendering it inaccessible. However, I have heard that this is an exaggeration, and the station can still be reached safely.

This is exciting news, as my sister is now working as bodyguard for a developer of software that is, in house space, considered illegal. You certainly want to avoid my sister, but this developer offers his products on Ames Research Station. Should you ever wish to visit that station, please sensibly ask around for Lymund Michaels. Should you see a fairly tall, muscular woman with long white hair, you should probably leave. Her temper is quite fascinating.

I require ten copies of a so called "Trade Lane Bug", which is one of Mr. Michaels' products. I would appreciate it if you refrain from asking questions regarding this. Once you reach a higher Assistant Level, I am certain I will fill you in, one way or another.

5x Gold - 5000 Credits

Bretonia is quite known for their capitalization on the gold industry. However, the war with Gallia put the entire house in a state of pragmatism. There is a significant decrease of quality in Bretonia's exports, and this is quite infuriating, as for my line of work, quality is more important than quantity.

However, the Mollys of Dublin are known to provide a way higher standard of quality. At least for their gold. I wish to put this to the test and thus require a few samples of Molly gold. If the purity of their gold bars is sufficient, this could lead to further assignments in the Dublin system.

By the way, the Mollys are known for their cultural, as it were, artistic expressionism. Maybe you can find a new location for a, as you call it, gig there.

I wish to once more point out that these assignments are optional in nature, but may prove to be an interesting activity to pursue until I have more pressing matters for you to take care of.

Regards,
Dr. R. Novak
