Weeks had gone by. One issue after another had cropped up preventing the departure of the mission to Earhart. One of the biggest obstacles was the fact that Tau-23 had inexclipablely grown larger after the passing of a major Ion Storm. The causation of this was baffling and had left more questions than answers...however Ion Storms always had a way of altering things inexplicably.
Dante had ordered the station towed back into position near the stable anomaly in system. A choice that Leo agreed with completely. After all, the station was built to monitor the anomaly, if it had moved a distance away from the station, then it was their scientific responsibility to follow suit. After the station was moved, Dante gave Leo the keys to the Directorship. Dante wasn't big on leading from the front, he clearly preferred to operate from the shadows.
"Sir." said a Pathfinder clad in their standard powered armor. Leo hated it because he felt like he could never get to know any of them. He couldn't keep any of their armor types straight.
"...and you are?" Leo asked impatiently.
The man in armor stared him down for a full thirty seconds. Leo began to get uncomfortable with the situation until the man replied, "Liam sir, Pathfinder Liam" he said stressing the name.
"R-right. Liam. Have you seen Mr. Flintlocke anywhere?"
The man pointed down the hallway without looking away from Leo but said nothing before walking past him. He briefly turned and said, "You should watch that attitude, sir" He continued moving down the hall. He never did find out what he had wanted when he first approached. Leo turned slowly around and walked towards the area he had pointed to.
"Pathfinders...all of them are weird. Safe to say I won't forget that one."
