Ah, my dear home. Your lush forests, brimming with radience and wilderness. Your vast seas, ever so chaotic and merciless. Your cities, colliding in pearlescent carnival at every rotation around our sun. Your people, oh so sophisticated and dignified.

Will my journey display remorse for parting ways with you, even if briefly? Or will I find inspiration, something worthy of being included in our culture? Such is the allure of adventure - a protagonist may only know the path that they embark upon, while the writer knows it all.

Alas, whether if fate pre-determined all the twists and turns for my journey, or if all the encounters in my upcoming travels shall occur by mere chance - any will remain unknown to me. And that is the intrigue of it. Today, I send myself off to see the sights of the Sirius sector - its beauties, its atrocities, its wonders, its horrors. Witnessing it all is a sure way to gain inspiration for my final novel.

Having gotten acquainted with the travelling advisory guide, I have charted a course of my own. A risky venture, for sure, yet space travel on its own is a dangerous affair.

The first destination on my route is Rheinland. As it stands, it is also the only way to reach the Sirius Sector for any law abiding citizen, but I hope my one-off travel permit is soon on its way. In all honesty, I have barely ever left Saint-Denis - the only shape in which I know the rest of my space is through holographic imagery or video recordings. Today, this shall change.

Ah, but alas, the first Gallic world I get to witness is the nest of dissidents and traitors - Marne.
