You're a fucking legend, mate, and you're right. It has been a while, there is a story to the reason I've been so off the grid since Connacht but that's something for another time and place if you're interested in hearing it.

Anyway, we're already on the move to Sing-Sing now. We'll try and vacate the spot real quick like and free it up for whatever big project you've got cooking, which can't lie, has me a bit interested but again, instead of getting distracted should stick to the thing at hand now.

And that would be the fact we managed to get our hands on the blueprints and most of the parts for some real interesting pieces of kit. The first and less interesting being the possibility of sorting the Spirit out with a Mauler mass driver, a piece of kit I'm going to go out on a limb and say needs no introduction.

What might tickle your fancy is the second piece. We're going to try and get an EW-101P Railgun rigged up on the Spirit. Now before I get too ahead of myself, I should say that this will still need to be trialled and tested, but in theory, might help with one of the biggest weaknesses I observed during that mess in Omega-3, which was our anti-gunship capabilities.

Most of our cruisers weren't quite effective against those in particular, and when I look at the theory I'm hearing behind this railgun I think I'm seeing the potential to give those capabilities a significant boost without sacrificing much, if any of our effectiveness against other cruisers or heavier assets that any OPFOR might have in play.

Which, on the topic of material procurement, is one of the bigger issues we have with the railgun. First off, the slugs fired are a dense 20kg mixture of Iridium and Uranium. Not quite materials that are abundant down in the Taus as you know, and secondly we'd like to take this opportunity to fix up some of the plates that took some heavy fire during combat with the Armed Forces and the corporate auxiliaries.

So, in essence, we've got every everything else we need and will probably have the Mauler ready to go in no time, but we certainly won't say no to getting those materials for the railgun and armor a bit sooner.

By my engineers estimates we're gonna' need 2000 units of both Iridium and Uranium to ensure a suitable stockpile of slugs for the Railgun, and around 4000 units of Ablative Armor Plating on the replacing damaged armor sections front.

Naturally, we'll make it worth whoever's doing us this favour's while, to the point we're even gonna' let them name the price themselves. Though between you and me, I'd like to have some of the ships funds leftover to deal with any potential issues down the line.

Regardless though, I owe you a pint already for freeing up this dry dock for us, so cheers again, mate.
