Well it has been a minute huh?! I guess I've been too busy tearing up the racing scene to really have time to make a log.

[She chuckles and scratches the back of her head.]

Well, the reason I'm writing here is I think I have a bit of a problem. See, I decided to fly into Kepler and do some racing here because I've heard it's one of the more dangerous places in Sirius. I didn't die or explode or anything, quite the opposite. I had a lot of close calls but the ship stayed in one piece...relatively so anyway. Turns out the Tiger Shark wasn't exactly designed for prolonged exposure to the radiation levels that Dark Matter is known for the the hull has started to kind of...leak. Not really a problem considering when I fly I'm in a sealed suit but when hull panels start randomly flying off at speeds exceeding 500 m/s, well that's a recipe for disaster.

I'm out of Kepler now and flying through Tau-29. I'm hoping the ship can be saved, else I might have to have the engine and other systems removed and placed into another ship. Hopefully Lazurith is still around somewhere to help do the work. I need to do some research and find a ship that is capable of housing this engine before making any leaps. I also don't want to sacrifice any speed in moving to another ship. Meaning it needs to be about the same size, possibly with more aerodynamics so I can move fast across the surface of planets too.

A tinkerer's job is never done. I'll get back to writing logs more often. God forbid I die in a glorious explosion trying to thread the needle on a race track and my logs don't say where to find my ship and induct it into the hall of fame!
