Frigate Captain Gonville Welsh Security Division Reporting,

This is the debriefing report of the encounter with the Zoner know as Sapuraiya and local CDI Police. I myself was witness to half of the events that transpired with this encounter and have Jock Stewart's sworn statement and black box records from conducting formal interviews with the employees.

Jock : I was in command of the Iron-Brew Hegemon Asteroid Miner and training a new BMM employee called Fanny and she was in her ship called the Brisbane~Star. We were in the gold Founder's Asteroid Field in the Dublin system mining gold ore. I was explaining new difficulties to mining operations and the such and useful techniques pretty run of the mill stuff. When we finished up with full loads we headed north were we ran into the Zoner Sapuraiya.

He was heading to the jumphole for New London rather quickly only slowing for a moment when spotting us. Doing our due diligence we scanned him and commanded him to halt and tried to explain he shouldn't even be there but he was having none of it and gunned his engines to full. I told him he had wildcat gold and he gave a funny remark saying "you don't say" deviant chap he was. He jumped and we followed and again commanded him to halt again. He ran as fast as he could and escaped for the moment.

Myself and Fanny docked at Fortitudine dropped off our gold ore and then I ran to find yourself while Fanny went after him in the Brisebane~Star I found you and explained the situation thats when you scrambled QRF for pursuit. That was the end of my involvement.

At this point I ran to my Frigate which is always at the ready for quick reaction force tasks. My crew established contact with the Brisbane~Star. Fanny, was still searching and I decided to plot a course to the Manchester Gate as I believed he (Sapuraiya) would be trying to get straight out of Bretonia space as soon as possible. My hunch payed off as I found him intercepted by CDI)SC-Bob.Pickering, who was already underway assessing Sapuraiya.

I informed Pickering, This zoner was found in Dublin and ran when ordered to stop.
Pickering, explained that his superior was on his way. Sapuraiya played dumb asking "Is there anything that I did?".
Pickering, explained according to his logs and his cargo scan that there was indeed a problem.

Sapuraiya continued to play dumb and this is when CDI)HMC-Wollaton arrived on the scene.
Brisbane~Star, followed that arrival and commented "ah there is the Molly Supporter".
I then informed CDI that the Zoner was "Buying illegal goods. Running when ordered to halt by a crown corp"
Pickering then commented to the Zoner "It says here that you've been seen blockade running before, and evaded the constables that tried to pull you over?"

I was then asked to leave by Pickering "Listen erh... captain of the Harlech? This is erh... police business"
I decided in spirit of cooperation to take my leave. But was informed it was okay to stay and watch from a distance taking up a firing position if the zoner chose to run to the gate.

Sapuraiya, continued to be very evasive with the officers. Dodging questions and being very vague in his answers however CDI pushed forward with their questioning and was able to established multiple breaches of the law and lawful commands. His guilt was also established by his own emission about being in breach of the embargo.

Meanwhile a Corsair ident DTR-CNS>GatitoEspinosowas stalking somewhere in the system. Close enough to communicate and said I quote : "Oh, I have certainly been enjoying the tormentation of the poor Zoner."

At this point CDI)HMC-Wollaton was becoming frustrated with the Zoner and quite rightly as he was clearly playing games so Top decided it was time to wrap things up by asking how much myself and Brisebane~Star could carry. We answered promptly 2700 for my hold and additional 400 for Fanny totalling 3100 in all. With this said we took part the wildcat gold into our custody even though Sapuraiya tried more delaying tactics by acting confused about how to transfer the cargo, Nor our party of CDI were very impressed.

Now this is were I had to bite my tongue as to show unity as a nation in front of this Zoner but as a security and company man personally was not happy with the outcome but understand perhaps the police were trying to be fair and balanced and were under pressure just like I'm trying to be with this report.

Wollaton allowed the Zoner Sapuraiya to keep the remaining contraband gold despite multiple violations during a time of war for our nation and coming out of said warzone with a primary ingredient of this war which we at BMM are responsible for handling and refining as legal tender. So this left the Zoner with 1900 units of Wildcat Gold Bars in his possession by my calculations and was free to go with a warning after we were transferred part of the contraband.

For our part we secured what we were allowed to and offered support if needed later for the Corsair and we polity withdrew. We first moved the gold to Isle of Skye but it was decided to move it to a different BMF station (Redacted) for a closer inspection.

Conclusion

Without CDI we wouldn't have caught the Zoner with the contraband Wildcat Gold Bars so I am grateful for their man power and tenacity and presence, however when it comes to matter of gold these matters should of fallen to our agency as a nationalized part of the government and a national security matter of legal or illegal tender which we are responsible for. Had I not had my hands tied here we would of taken what gold we could of and destroyed the rest and let CDI handle the criminal.

Recommendation

If BMF are on scene any and all gold is under our Jurisdiction and we decide how it is secured, This is a high priority matter and needs immediate review as Police are not trained or equipped to handle these items.
