The Promethene fuel recipe is unviable.

The promethene recipes are still horrible.

Could either or both of you explain the concern with it and I can possibly look at it later, I am largely unfamiliar with it.

This was pointed out to jammi when it was first brought in.

You could buy Promethene cheaper than you could manufacture it.

Hydrocarbons were 8 credits to buy (cheapest) now been reduced to 2
Cracking Catalysts - 15 credits
Prometheum - 10 credits

With bonus:
765 Hydrocarbons - cheapest (Aubigny)
85 Cracking Catalyst - cheapest (Guise Mining Facility)
85 Prometheum - cheapest (Planet Quillan)

is turned in to 500 Promethene

Cost is 765*2 + 85*15 + 85*10 = 3655 credits (this doesn't include shipping costs from point of origin). When it was 8 credits (almost since implementation) that price was 8245 credits to make 500 units. It has got better.

Promethene - 11 credits (Aubigny)

Therefore 500 Promethene costs 5500 credits from the cheapest place.
