Character not found ingame

[Eckbert von Ratte]

Hi,

I'm new here so I'm not familiar on how the character management works with the launcher. The game seems to not knowing my character anymore. So here is what happened:

Day 1:

• created account "Eckbert von Ratte" under the category "Freelancer"
  
• My entry appeared in the list under the sub-menue "Freelancer"
  
• started the game and logged onto the server
  
• No character was there so I created a character "Eckbert_von_Ratte"
  
• played with it
  

Day 2:

• Started launcher and it said in a blue screen something like: No account found in the registry. Will create new one
  
• The entry from yesterday was still there
  
• But now there was a second sub-menue (category?) named "Unfiltered" with an account named "New Account"
  
• After selecting the account from yesterday there was no character at the server to use
  
• I deleted the "New Account" and launched the game with the account "Eckbert von Ratte" and the character "Eckbert_von_Ratte" was shown
  
• So I played again with this character and earned some money and bought a transport ship
  

Day 3:

• Started launcher and it said in a blue screen something like: No account found in the registry. Will create new one
  
• Again the entry from yesterday was still there
  
• Again there was a second sub-menue (category?) named "Unfiltered" with an account named "New Account"
  
• I used the export function of the launcher and saved the import/export file
  
• I again deleted the "New Account" in the launcher and launched the game with the account "Eckbert von Ratte" but now the character "Eckbert_von_Ratte" was not there
  
• I think at that moment I created a new character ""Eckbert_von_Ratte" " while still being in the game and started with that. THen logged off.
  
• I re-started the PC to try it again but this time there was no message after starting the launcher. But still only the new character appeared after login
  

Two questions:

How are the characters ingame are connected to the account listed in the launcher?
Is the character "Eckbert_von_Ratte" with the ship and the money still registered somewhere and how can I access it? I have the import/export file with the signature and code of the account. But it seems that my first character is not connected to it.
