The Scarman Enigma

Los Angeles, somewhere over the capital

Kurt flew in low over the closely grouped buildings, following the two Black Flag fighters as they descended towards an unknown target. Admiral Anderson had kept his distance, climbing to a higher altitude so that he could monitor the pirates from above. Manning was flying low; with the hope of following them on foot should they leave their fighters.

The two fighters suddenly twisted in the air and descended into a small landing area. Kurt slowed his Typhoon down so that he was barely moving and zoomed in on the two pirates with his forward cameras. The two ships were landing in a run down section of the LA capital. Kurt frowned as the wondered what it was they could want with this area of town. Some unknown contact? A weapons dealer perhaps. Kurt focused his attention on his starfighter and dropped it down into a clearing several blocks away from the staging area the pirates were using.

Lucas can you keep track of them, Kurt said into his communicator, Ive lost a visual.
Affirmative, Lucas voice replied through Kurts earpiece. Ive can see them, Ill guide you to where they go and then land myself.
Kurt cut the link and set his fighter down in a small concrete yard. As the Typhoons engines cooled down, Kurt popped the canopy latch and jumped out, landing squarely on his feet. His boots made little noise on the concrete as he carefully made his way over to a mesh fence that separated him from the street beyond. He swiftly scaled the fence and dropped down over the other side. Taking one last look at his Typhoon, he sprinted off in the direction of the two pirates.

Okay Lucas, be my eyes and ears. Kurt pressed his finger to his ear, keeping his eyes peeled for movement.
You can be your own ears, Lucas voice replied, Alright I can see you, take your next left. The two pirates disappeared into a building opposite their landing site.
Kurt took a left at the end of the street and jogged down a narrow, dirty alleyway. He turned right at the end and was confronted by another dimly lit street, stretching away into the night.
Where too now, He asked.

Kurt took to the street at a cautious jog, keeping to the shadows. He glanced to his right and saw the dorsal fin of the Hammerhead gunship poking out above one of the buildings that flanked the street.
I can see that Hammerhead, He said quietly, coming to a stop at the next corner.
Yeah, their landing site is just around that corner to your right. Lucas informed him, They went down the street to your left, the building directly across from you.
I see it, Kurt replied, It looks like a nightclub.
A nightclub, Lucas repeated.
Yeah, Kurt confirmed. I can see two men on the door. Ill have to go around the back.
Alright, Ill meet you in there, Lucas said, Im gonna drop down and land. Take care.
Lucas cut the link, leaving Kurt alone with nothing but his thoughts. He took a deep breath and moved down the street towards the neon lights of the nightclub.
