I have some criticism however, which isn't connected only to this faction, as you might have noticed.
Blood Dragon HF - my only critique. I don't think you should use it.
No, really, I'v never fought against one of Mandalorians in it, that's not the problem.
PVP isn't the problem at all, as I know you guys aren't as trigger-happy as most of others are.
Problem is that I can't see Blood Dragons giving it to anyone.
I always complain about this, even when GC uses it, when OC's use it, or when anyone else non-BD uses it.
Red Cats are fine, as their infocard doesn't state anything similar as the BD HF one.
Actually, that is the only ship I have issue with. I don't care if you use anything else.
Don't take this as a rant, as my reasons for this opinion have nothing to do with PVP.
On the positive note, every single encounter with you guys was a pleasing one.

Well, the only Blood Dragon still in Mandalorian possession is the one I own.
The original deal with the NovaPG was for us to work as agents of chaos inside Kusari hunting and hurting the KNF. At that time, the Mandalorian players had saved enough money to buy a system. The faction felt it needed a "home". I wasn't a member at the time so I can't give details about the reasoning. For reasons that were both within and without the faction's power, the purchase of the system ended up being canceled. So, they had all this money and nothing to do with it. As the deal with the Blood Dragons was being cut, some of the guys (probably Luc) had the idea of making a ship (instead of an empty system) the home for the Mandalorian people (for reference, this happened in the transition between 4.83 and 4.84 and I was already in the faction).
Luc has this character, Yuri, who's a shipyard owner and had a tight relationship with the Mandalorians. The deal with NovaPG was that they'd provide us with the basic plans for the battleship, which would be adapted by Yuri to make us a home ship, the "Mhi Motir", which in a very rough translation from Mando'a (like there was any other kind) means "our stand" or "our home".
John Cabbot (Dieter's character) had recently taken control of the Mandalorian people (post #1 in the "Tales of the Mandalorians" thread) opening a position in the consulate to which I was eventually appointed. Luc ended up getting away from the game leaving us with the a Blood Dragon IDed Togo (part of the deal so we could have it) parked in New London. That ship was never meant to have a combat role, but a ceremonial one. Though it was too much inconspicuous for us to use for anything other than a very expensive armory.
With time, Ranov'la Aran (my character) demonstrated excellent diplomatic skills, so he became our liaison with our clients and partners. We made some noise alright in Kusari (which can be perceived mainly in KNF's message dump for that time). Us being marked as enemies of the Shogunate was expected, but the KNF getting out of their ways to have the Bounty Hunter Guild on us was something that was remarkable in itself.
The terms of the job with NovaPG were mostly around hunting the KNF pilots for them. Bruce Willis also cut us some exclusive bounties. However, we are always thinking of ways to further service our clients to a point that they become more than that, but true partners. We started offering aid to the NovaPG when we felt they needed it. There were a number of battles in which Mandalorians have fought alongside NovaPG pilots against not only the KNF, but also other enemies (Corsairs, Hogosha, Bounty Hunters that invaded Chugoku or hunted them in Sigma-13).
Apart from that, I've always instructed our pilots to be the more respectful they could when approaching Blood Dragon space. We would announce our approach from a system away and would stop right after the jump hole asking permission to enter their space and or land on their bases. Ranov'la Aran behaved at his best around the Dragons. At the time, I've always contacted Bruce Willis, both in their message dump and in private messages, providing him with information and the news of our achievements against their enemies. Ranov'la Aran has also helped the Dragons in training and practicing. He brought them equipment when needed.
At a given point, NovaPG's leader offered (I didn't ask for it) the Blood Dragon to the Consul. To Ranov'la Aran, the gesture came in as an honor and had a great meaning to it. If Tony has eventually made the BD ships a bargaining chip for popularity it doesn't concern me, my Blood Dragon HF was granted me prior to the free for all spree and had a very significant RP meaning to it. To those who understand the Japanese culture, it felt like Ranov'la Aran had been given a Katana sword. A worthy gift, from one warrior to another. Too bad that meaning was eventually lost when Tony started giving their ships away to pretty much anyone who asked, as Mjolnir has stated.
Well, regardless of the outside-of-the-game politics that made it be like that, my BD was presented to my character not through a good story I wrote to get it, but through what I consider to be a good story that ended up involving five factions (Mandalorians, NovaPG, KNF, GC and QCRF) which wasn't written, but played. A story of warriors, battles, honor and dedication. The way I read that infocard, chopper, I'd say that the BDs wouldn't give the ship to the next Jane GC or Joe Outcast that came to their doorstep asking for one, but I don't see a problem with them honoring someone that has fought alongside them and that has left a significant mark in their story. So much that no KNF, AFA or Hogosha worthy of his rice will let a Mandalorian pass unhindered through Kusari space. So much that the Mandalorians are listed not as friendly, but as allied in the new BD faction's diplomacy.
No, there's only one way Ranov'la Aran will relinquish his Blood Dragon ships. That is the current representative of the BD writing him a formal (in RP) request for him to return them to the Mito shipyards.
