Some time ago we had a group of Corsairs financing their Osirises (yes, in the plural) with Diamond-Niobium money from traders that sported the very same tag they used to attack us in Rheinland in their capitals. After collecting enough evidence that the group was the same one (both from rumors from people that wandered outside of our ZoI, long range sensors and the sort) we started shooting their traders as Corsair collaborators. After all, that's what they were, without hiding the fact. Anything different from that and I'd call it circumventing RP with a technicality. I'd say the JG must be prepared to have their traders influenced by their group's diplomacy, because in RP they aren't merely traders, but supporters of a group of mercenaries.
Right, that's cool by me. I just worry that lawful factions, and those near-lawful that don't shoot civilians (such as SCRA), wouldn't be able to punish their tagged traders.
