Ze civilian explorer IRV-Violet was purchased some time ago. An indepedand researcher had no longer a use of it and offered it used for less zan a new one. Ze Rheinland Polizei would like to use it for, well, research tasks on natural anomalies wizin and around Rheinland. We're also interested in salvage operations of wrecks. I'm sure a dedicated ship would fit zese tasks more zan a regular Oder class gunboat. Once you confirm ze readiness and interoperability wiz Rheinland technology, it will be rebranded as ze kaiserliche Forschungsschiff Mars.
