I want to point out that any time someone wants to use the "people are leaving" argument, they need to consider the other side of it. Every decision will be unpopular with some people. Let's say that in a simple world, people who don't like a decision always leave. The question then becomes - how many people will leave if decision A is made, vs decision B. There is no perfect decision that keeps everyone happy.

The question should be about whether decisions will keep people playing for the longer term. And I believe that most of the ongoing discussions and decisions resulting from them are aimed in that direction. So unless you can be more specific, the intent of this thread will go nowhere.
