Not a direct quote, but the point is there. If this is stemming from the various incidents across disco recently, then its one of those whole “maybe learn from it instead of rebelling against what quite clearly coulda been severe punishment for the done action”

Staff have been working their asses off to keep us having a game to play, and making hard decisions that, while some have not pleased many at all (Looking at you, cap primaries), undoubtedly decisions on environment progression, story events, commodities, mining, shipping etc.etc… most of them have been taken well. Especially Xeno Relics and Uncharted mining. I don’t know anyone who complains about the changes made to them. (If you exist. Lol. You do not know what you’ve missed this last year or so.)

I think slating the staff for a decision that was decidedly powergamed out against a covert wild group who have played exceptionally good coverts (I have had numerous encounters with them and its safe to say they are good at it.). I am sure that you are not the first, and you for sure will not be the last to attempt to pull a metagame/powergame move (whichever is more appropriate in the context). Maybe it’d be better, if you took it as a “yeah, okay. We don’t like it but we respect the decision” rather than a “no, you are wrong, Server Staff.

This brings us back to one of the previous issues to be fair. An exceptionally good friend of the community, known to us as ADN/Gamper/(other discord aliases)/@R.P.Curator made a really really good point in Eclipse Vanguard’s discord chat. Point is, since that day I have decided to simply do this (Insert Iota PoB thread decision). Sure, I will sometimes not in favour of reaching out to specifically relevant people that I know are connected to the person I need someone to speak to, in order to try and get the message across without staffs intervention (I know that an admin warning can come across as nerve racking for some mentalities, seen it across many multiplayer games). But more often than not, it now just gets sent to the higher ups to decide.

I dont want to be filing VRs on people. I want everyone to have fun in the game. What I also want, is for people who decide that “I’m going to tell them to file a VR, and then bitch and moan that the staff sided with them” is acceptable, to have their own wake up call. Yes, our upstanding pillar of the community told me what I should do, and then decided to fight the decision pointlessly. I believe this is uhh. What do they call it these days, Hypocrisy? Double standards? Two-faced? I dunno. To put it mildly. I do not think I am the only person they’ve been royally pissing off in the community.

Reflect on the decision, improve yourselves. Put yourself in their shoes and think on what you would do in their circumstances. Better yet, actually try it and see how the reverse scenario feels. I can guarantee it’ll make you feel shitty, and want to follow the same line of thought that the ones you mock and scold did.
