The past is distant to me, but I will tell you what I remember. Staying on Malta never made me content. I remember a time with little friends for company, stuck with a family more concerned with their own petty interests. Why be blessed with Cardamine just to be bound to Malta forever? I learnt to fly, to explore all of Sirius. Of course, practical needs had to be met. When I was younger, I stole immense wealth from Liberty. I remember flying many times with the Rogue dogs and Hacker lackeys against their Navy, memories I remember with fondness but little satisfaction. The thrill of combat with the Orange Dream was exhilarating. When you live long enough doing this, you feel invincible.
When I made enough credits, I left, and travelled all over Sirius, seeking combat with more interesting foes. I remember the brutality of the Corsairs, the cunning of the GMG, the zeal of the Coalition, they were all such a joy to do combat with. Then they arrived, our new neighbor; Gallia. They swept through our Cardamine routes, an unprecedented force to reckon with, and a boundless source of joy for me; more battle with their immense Navy. I remember fighting them for the longest time, even alongside the pathetic Bretonians who begged us for help, and turned on Malta when it was no longer convenient. It was regrettable the war ended, I remember a lack of direction shortly after. The stripping away of my constant source of thrill is something that is not easy for me to replace, perhaps the highs of combat that I achieved are no longer possible to exceed.
I ventured all over Sirius, only to return close to home to do battle with the Corsairs. There have been many good battles, but this time, I seem to no longer find satisfaction in them. Our youths are extended by the Orange Dream, but it seems that to have accomplished everything a youth could want also brings the curse of emptiness. Your Famiglia seems ambitious, perhaps that is why it is of interest to me.
Why do you wish to join La Famiglia di Medici? I have no need for credits. It is also not my place to judge what is good for Malta, I do not pretend to fight for noble goals, or to know what they are. But I believe there is demand for my services. There will always be those like you to point those like me in the right direction. Your ambition for my purpose.
